I bought this for my 7 month old daughter last Christmas (2007). At the time my son was 4 and he played with it the most and my daughter caught on real quick. It is one of their favorite toys after a year! After Christmas this year they still play with it rather than their new toys. And we haven't even lost any of the balls yet. That's the only downfall is trying to keep track of the balls that go with it. Other balls do not work!
We just got this for our baby's 1st birthday. She has so much fun with it. The balls do fly off the top but she thinks it's hilarious. I like the music. I just wish that it would come already assembled because it was somewhat of a pain in the neck to put together. I thought I was going to break the parts trying to get them to fit together. Once assembled, it's a lot of fun. I do think it's overpriced, but most toys these days are.
My girls-ages 1 and 3-both LOVE this toy! People have complained that the music is too loud but just put some scotch tape over the speaker if you agree. My girls don't mind the music and they are very entertained by this toy. They play with it every day. The only drawbacks are that the balls sometimes fly away from the toy and my girls experiment by sticking other toys into the toy to try to get them to pop too.
For our son's first birthday, my mother sent us a gift card. We used it to buy this because we thought our son might enjoy it. He absolutely LOVES this toy! We actually take it with us when we go to Grandma's house too since it really holds his attention. I love that the balls pop out of it sometimes because it has taught him really good eye-hand cordination. He actually cheats sometimes and tries to put the balls back down the tube. I like the cute little music tunes and that the toy shuts down on it's own after 30 seconds. At one year old he's even mastered how to push the button back on again when he wants to play. It's a great toy (my 14 year old brother-in-law actually plays with it sometimes too. LOL). I would absolutely recommend to everyone!
We bought this toy for our 7 month old, but it's our 22 month old that loves it. The baby will sit and watch her brother play with it, but she is too young to do anything with it other than watch. The 22 month old will push the trigger button to get it started, collect the balls, and put them back in when they don't stay in the catcher. That would be my only complaint; the top tray that catches the balls could be a little bigger and then maybe the balls would land in the tray and continue to shoot again and again. The music is fun and doesn't play too long without needing to be activated again. So far it has held up to some roughness from my son. It's a great toy and my children have already gotten lots of entertainment from it.
We used this with two children and now are buying it for young neices and nephews. Some toys are just junky and the kids lose interest in them. This is not one of those toys. Kids love to play with this day after day. My three year old stuffed other things in it one day and we could never get all the things out of it, but when he was younger, it was the best toy!
I purchased this for my one year old granddaughter. This activity toy is awesome. She not only loves it but so does her little best friend. I would highly recommend this product for any parent, grandparent or any other person who is around children this age. It's a joy to listen and watch her play with it!!
Great toy. Kids loved it but you have to make sure you don't have any other balls of the same size in your house. The kids put other plastic balls in there and we were always taking the game apart to get them out. The balls that come with it are really really light so the air can blow them out. Any other ball will get stuck in the bottom. We now have one stuck in the bottom that we can't get to at all. I hate to do it but I am going to have to throw it out.
we got this for our 5 1/2 month old for christmas. she doesnt really pay a whole lot of attention to it. but the toy is pretty boring. you press a button and air shoots the balls up out of a hole then they fall down another hole and the process begins again. the problem is, the balls fly out all over the place, bouncing and rolling all over the room, so you acutally spend more time chasing the balls and putting them back in it, than you do playing with it. this was a severely overpriced item. i wish i had read more reviews before purchasing.
This product was a waste of money I think.. We just bought it for our 9 month old son We started to play with it and the fan that blows the ball up started to blow them the other way. So instead of popping them out the top they came out were you put them in and when you put the balls in where they pop out the ball will just sit there tell it shuts off . Then after it shuts off you put all the balls in and hit the red button and then all the balls came out all at once and then it will go back to not popping out the top and not going in. My son just plays with just the balls and we tossed the rest
