Bought this for 5 month old because she's beginning to teethe. Teether is too large for her to grasp. She likes looking at the crab but doesn't do much with. I guess the book will be helpful as she gets older. My 9 yr old tried to read it to her but all the baby does it chew on the edges. Guess it depends on the child
I purchased these items because my 7 month old loves books and what baby doesnt love teethers! however the book is put together really poorly. The pages are just stickers stuck on plastic. which makes them soggy when my little one chews on them. It also makes them hard to wash because i dont want the stickers to come off. you would think that they would use something more durable. The viberating teether ring sounded like a good idea... they really have to bite down hard to get it to viberate. its almost impossible. Anyway my sugestion to you is purchase a different gift set with the little crab in it. thats the only toy from this set my son really likes. Thanks for reading, and i hope this helps.
I purchased two teethers, they were not a set. So I purchased one for my house and one for my daughters house. When I bought both of them, one did not vibrate at all. Then when I put mine in the refrigerator to keep it cold. Well guess what mine does not vibrate at all anymore either. This is poorly designed if they work or don't work for the money you pay for this product.
