Switching to the Samsung Galaxy Note II was the greatest decision phone wise that I have ever made. The Galaxy Note II is the perfect size and looks great, I can't stand a phone that freezes up or has a lot of lag and the Note II does not disappoint as the Quad core processor is the fastest I have ever used with no lag or freezing at all. The S Pen is the greatest thing ever invented, I have found so many uses for it and the S Pen makes using the phone so much more enjoyable. I would recommend the Samsung Galaxy Note II over any other smartphone on the market! I love my Note II
I owned many different phones before but this is the BIGGEST and the FASTEST ever!! I enjoyed movies and games on this phone way more than any other phone. Battery last me all day long. Internet is fast, and when my carrier start supporting the LTE, this phone will be PERFECT!!! The only cons is I get hooked by SAMSUNG...can't buy any other brand now : I : D
The Note 2 is a fast and powerful mobile device. I find myself using my laptop and netbook a lot less, and feel the Note 2 is faster than the netbook. The response from the device is instant and fluid. I feel there are minor glitches due to the jellybean and applications playing catch up. Flash on the browser does not work, assuming from the same reason previously stated. Overall very impressed with the device and just like Samsung TV's the screen is amazing.
I had upgraded to the Note 2 after having the GS3 ,which is still awesome, when my workload and other endeavors appeared I knew I had to get something to handle multitasking capabilities(IpHones don't cut it).Since February this phone has been super awesome and the emergence of the S4 has the Note 2 to thank for it's birth. Now all I want is Android 4.2.2 to come or wait for the Note 3.Samsung you guys are the bomb!!!
I have owned a Cell phone from many carriers over the past 20 years and this phone ROCKS!! Battery life? nobody has anything at the moment that can beat this.I can go almost two days, playing games, texting, watching Movies,Taking Pix and Video's and still by the days end, have not killed the Battery. This unit has a great feel for the hand and its not clunky as you might think.Samsung,I am sold whole hearted on your product line. You Are the future or Communication and the future is Now!! Kudos!! Keep up the great work in electronics Bravo!! You have my vote on future generations of your line of electronics...I Thank You for This puppy you created.. :-)
7 months later i will still buy this phone over any other phone including the S4. The reason is the note feature that it comes with and the size of the phone (it is big but you get use to it, if you have big hand) and of course how fluid it feels thanks to android. Overall one of the top phones or phablet out there nothing like the note II
Telephone; "An instrument that converts voice and other sound signals into a form that can be transmitted to remote locations and that receives and reconverts waves into sound signals". Tablet; "A slab or plaque, as of stone or ivory, with a surface that is intended for or bears an inscription". With definitions out there, what I'm I? I know I am an instrument that converts voice and other sound signals. But wait? I have a surface intended for inscription. I am both Phone and Tablet, so just call me Phablet. First feature that stands out is the massive 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen, at 1280x720 resolution, and a true 16:9 aspect ratio, the Note 2 has a few less pixels than the original. Trust me you will not notice as the images are crystal clear from any angle. Another great feature is the "S Pen", updated from the original the S Pen features multiple nib tips (writing utensils) and "Air View" which lets you hover over the screen to capture screen shots, and images, just to name a few. The 8 megapixel camera is packed with features, like Voice Capture, Burst Shot, and Auto Share. And a front facing 1.9 megapixel camera is great for video conferencing. A blazing 1.6-gigahertz quad-core chip, 2-gigabytes of RAM capable of running multiple apps at one time. So far the massive 3100 mAh battery gives me a couple days of multitasking before charging. If your in the market for the Note 2 I would recommend getting a feel for it first. It is big and having it in my front pants pocket does get me strange looks Gave 4 stars for features as the multi view and a couple others are missing (?) Gave 4 stars for Design as the Home button is similar to competitors (S2, S3 design was perfect)
I have had many phones, but this is the best one EVER.... I'm in real estate and this phone is utilized as a mini pad, computer and phone... It has capabilities no other phone has. It has a big screen, easy to use. I can sign my documents and able to see them.... I TRULY LOVE IT.... you won't regret it. It might be a little big for the men, as they do not carry purses, but for US LADIES... this is the phone... Oh, and the it takes beautiful pictures, better than a regular camera.....
The Galaxy Note 2 has converted me to a loyal Samsung customer after a decade of loyalty of to a company that no longer makes any "sense" to me. I scoffed at those that dove in to the original Note, however, after seeing firsthand the features the Note 2 was loaded down with & experiencing the amazing performance, I became a believer There are dozens of useful features on the Note 2 & a dozen more you won't use regularly, but when you do use them, you are guaranteed to exclaim loudly, "WOW!". The multi-view feature is really neat, but the Multi-window feature is super useful & saves me time when I am sending emails that require me to view reference materials or documents. No more guessing, no more switching back & forth between screens & no more waiting until I can get to a laptop or PC. The S-Pen is an awesome retro-like tool that I did not miss from my old smartphone days, until I saw it in action & realized that it was the stylus reborn & re-imagined with great functionality. Hand written notes that are pressure sensitive, precise clippings from documents & web pages or articles are all just a gesture away from being shared via a plethora of communication mediums. The only down side to this device is that the well documented Android OS/System bug was not patched, but even with the battery draining bug, you still get over 24 hours of use. I can't wait until this issue is patched, trhis thing will be a buttery smooth experience that lasts for 3 days minimum for me. There is no better device on the market & while it won't replace a tablet or laptop for me, it definitely is the beast option to get you buy when you are between those devices. I am a mechanical engineering professional & this is a powerful tool that makes me more productive & makes me shine in front of clients. Did I also mention the other half of this thing? Multimedia! Samsung does things right in regards to supporting numerous formats & codecs. I can watch near Bluray quality movies on this thing, complete with AC3 surround sound thanks to the DIVX certification. So many music formats are supported, so many video containers & formats are supported & you can watch them via AllShare Cast on your laptop, tablet or even your compatible TV. You have an older TV? No problem, the AllShare Hub will turn your old TV into media sharing monster. You owe it to yourself to give this thing a whirl! Like me, you might just find yourself impressed & owning what you swore you'd never buy!
I got this phone from my provider. Had to wait since it was back ordered. But once I got it was thoroughly impressed by it. Using it was great fun, response was outstanding. It's the fastest phone I've ever owned. But it's size may be it weakness. I was very careful with it always, rarely putting it in a pocket and if I did only in the front never in the back. But yesterday my 5th day of use I was heading home and stopped to get some new eyeglasses, sitting in the waiting room and heard the phone reboot itself from my front pocket. Took the phone out and you can see in the attached picture what greeted me. Phone had lines on the left side half way up and about 1/4 of the way across it. Screen will not respond to touch any more! Had to remove the battery to reboot it. Did not correct the issue. Did a factory reset with the Vol, Power, & bottom middle button. Did not correct issue. No I have not installed any third party applications on the phone? Phone is still stock! No there has been no physical damage or liquid damage on the phone? I have been very careful with this phone because of it's size, I've been waiting for some company to make a hardened durable case to give the phone greater protection. And no excessive pressure has been applied on the phone screen? I was very shocked to see the screen when I took it out of my pocket. Its never been bumped, dropped or anything. I know everyone says I did not do anything nor had anything happen to the phone, but truly this was a spontaneous happening. I own many Samsung products from Exhibit's to S3's and even the 7 inch tablet and have had no issues with those products and with 3 teenage daughters those phones take a beating and keep on ticking. So this is my warning to other be very careful and get a hardened durable case before taking this phone out into the world.
