I use this phone every once in awhile when I need to, and even after it being 3 years old, it still runs amazingly. Durable, old software can be updated with custom ROMs still, at the time of writing there are still 3 ROMs for android 5.1.1 that are regularly being updated. Stock software is great, too.
Excellent Mobile Phone
Its ok was not happy that the phone was fully unlocked, other than that alright.
My first chore was to update the operating system to the most recent operating system known as Android Jelly Bean! I then removed the nonessential AT&T accessories or tools! Once you get the junk applications removed you have one great phone! I had the Note but this Note II is much better and the O/s JellyBean is real good. I love it and am not so sure that for my purposes This is better for me than the top of the line Note III N9005.... the display is great and iit is stronger than the NoteIII I use my Note accessories with the new Note II !!!!!!!!!!!! AL
Only thing wrong with this phone is there is a slight delay as u move in between apps. Especially when u speak ur texts, the microphone takes forever to pop up. The phone only comes with 2gb of device memory, with about 9 or 10gb USB memory. Not sure what that is, but I'm fine with very little memory as I don't download or store excessively. I bought this twice from Amazon, & both times they sent me obvious replicas! If this phone I bought from Wal-Mart is a replica, it's a pretty good one. Every function works fine. It upgraded to JellyBean 4.1 from Kies with no problem. Battery lasts about 14 hours before I recharge. Which is a little fast? But not far from average. I'm on Straight Talk $45 a month. Getting 4gLTE. & Loving every bit of it. Got Wal-Mart's Protection plan.$99 for 3 years.
Sooooooooooo slow...way slow... it's beautiful and it is a good working phone..just be patient... my hubby is not ok with this issue but it doesn't bother me.... worth the $ 180.00.
This is the first smartphone I ever own. I got it on 3/28. First it had problem with the touch screen, it's either too sensitive or insensitive. In the past few days, the touch screen has been working properly. I am getting use to it and began to like it. I am not sure I will definitely keep it. If it has no more problem, I think I will. If I have to return it, I may get a exchange. Some cons I like to share: 1. The cell phone uses lots energy. I have to charge it everyday! 2. A little too heavy after put on battery. 3. Since it's the model for att, even though it's unlock phone now, lots att apps which are little annoying. Not sure it's possible to delete them.
Purchased several Straight Talk Samsung Galaxy phones for my family for the holidays. One of them had an issue after 3 months so I called to get info on how we can send it in under its warranty. Turns out StraightTalk (Tracfone) doesn't repair phones they replace them. I normally don't have an issue with overseas call centers however theirs is staffed by some of the poorest English speaking reps ever. You have to explain things at times repeatedly. Since they don't expect to receive anymore of this Galaxy model they offered ANOTHER brand smart phone which is also a lower level phone. After almost an hour of going round and round arguing that this is not acceptable they finally caved and sent the next higher model Galaxy. Once I received the replacement it took 3 calls (over an hour plus each) to finally get it activated with the original #. They kept on activating the phone with different #s. Beware...
