Very nice basketball for a child. The perfect size to start learning basketball skills. Very pleased with my purchase.
I use this indoors for my soon to be 4 year old. My laundry room I have made into a fitness room for both my son and I . I have the little tikes grow with me basketball hoop in the corner that comes with a tiny ball that he has outgrown. So I got this ball which is perfect. It does fit through the hoop, but it gets stuck in the net and you have to push it through a few times and it will stretch the net so it will go through with ease. We both have fun with this. I catch his teenage sisters playing too when they think I'm not looking, but moms magically see all.
Perfect size for my 5 year old son.
I needed to find a ball that is both light and small enough for my 4 year old son to shoot at a 6 foot goal so I bought him volleyball, and a "regular" jr Spalding" 27.5 inch ball at the local Walmart store. Though light enough for him to handle, the volleyball did not have the feel of a basketball, and the regular basketball... well, the thought of it jamming my boys finger on a ill-timed bounce made me think maybe he should stick with the softer volleyball for now. Then I found the Spalding Rookie ball online, I ordered the multi colored model. I was not disaapointed when I received it. Just a beautiful, beautiful ball. It's definitely lighter, and easier to handle then the regular jr ball. The cover is typical of an adult indoor/outdoor ball, offers a good grip, and the bounce feels true and sounds great. The multi color ball should help him identify if he's putting the right rotation on his shots. I was surprised though, that the ball was shipped without the original Spalding packaging, maybe it doesn't exist? It was just the ball in the shipping package.
I bought this for my son's third birthday and we love it!!!! It's a very durable and light weight ball. Perfect for age 3 and up. Even I like to play with it!
Ball is perfect for Pre-K through probably 4th grade...same ball that is used at YMCA for these age groups. Ball has great grip if your going to use it indoor only. It was shipped fast and my 6 year old is dribbling it around the house and loving it. It is a really nice ball for a good price.
Bought the multi-color version for my grandson and he loves it!
This is perfect for a child wanting to play basketball and getting ready for a season.
Nice basketball, good price
Nothing special about this ball. It is a great size for kids, but it seems to have some disformation to it and a really funny feel. I bought it online site unseen and was generally disappointed, as I expected a better quality from Spalding.
