I recnently puchased these boots for the sole purpose of getting dirty. I attended the Beale St. Music Festival(BSMF) and on que, God blessed us with one soggy weekend. It only takes about 3 hours of rain to turn Tom Lee Park into 750 yards of pig paradise, this, was 3 days worth. I did not have great expectations for these boots, but to my surprise, they were the key factor between having a great time or being completely miserable. By Sunday evening, after standing in the ankle-deep mud for approximately 35 hours, I could not believe the way these boots held up. My feet were dry, warm and comfy. They did rub a little on my left big toe, but you'll have that. While my top half was soaked to the bone, it dawned on me...I was wearing a $100 Columbia rain coat, and $28 WalMart boots, and there wasn't an oz of water or mud on my feet. $28 "whatever" boots from WalMart.....Priceless
Bought 2 (two!!) Pairs for Under $50.Really Great Boots and a Incredible Deal.Truly Waterproof.Really Warm and Comfortable and Great Ankle Support.I'm Tough on Boots, but these Lasted a Long Time.As Good or Better than the High-End Name Brand Hikers at a Fraction of the Price.
Great the 1st season, worn only when it rained. 2nd season out of storage, the cloth side above the sole on one boot developed a 1 inch tear along the ribs there. Purchasing the exact same boots for this 3rd season. Perfect for wearing while salmon fishing!! Warm and comfortable. I agree with another reviewer that laces should be replaced with velcro. The laces on these boots are too long! I cut them to a more manageable length (properly melting the frayed ends)
My wife and I each bought a pair of these. We both oiled ours to help with watertight integrity, and neither has experienced any leaks. I don't wear mine often, but my wife wears hers all the time, and just loves them. I would recommend this product to anyone.
I have been standing on my feet cooking for 14 to 16 hours a day doing hurricane relief in Texax. I needed a pair of shoes that I could stand in but were not to heavy or bulky. I saw these online an ordered them hoping for the best. They are great and I will orde them again. The fit is good they hold up well and give great support.
ibeen use this shoes for more than 5 years and i recomended for all my roofers friends because are so good for walk up on the roof so make easy walk even if is wet roof thank you
I bought these boots to do some light hiking in my area. I used them for 2 months without any problems. This June, I wore the boots to the summit of Mt. Whitney. I experienced no problems hiking over rocks, up steep inclines, or through the snow and water. These boots performed as well as my expensive Asolo boots for a fraction of the cost. I would gladly recommend them to others. I even went back and purchased another pair.
A hiker in my 60's, I hike 3 to 6 miles a day. The support afforded the ankles, and bottom of the feet is the best I have ever had...perfect for hiking. I do wish they would also produce a velcro hiking boot and do away with shoelaces, though...much less chance of tripping over loose shoelaces.
Great fitting and very very comfortable...I have worn nothing but this shoe every work day for the last 5 or 6 years but they wear out quickly. They will rip on both sides at the bend in the toe area and the soles wear quickly...I go through a pair about every 4 months but for the price, $90. a year or so is not bad..just wish they would hold up longer.
This is a great looking product for a great price. My husband said they are very comfortable shoes. The only problem is if you wear them to work everyday they do start coming apart fairly quickly. We bought them in May and they are already starting to come apart (it is now July). They definitely served their purpose and I assume would last a lot longer if you don't really "wear" your shoes out like my husband!!
