I purchased this for my son who is 6'6" and it is perfect for his arm length!!! He is 22 years old and he always thought of clothing from Eddie Bauer as something for older men, but he was extremely pleased with the style of the jacket. The arm length is perfect along with the look and quality........we have a winner!
Warm beyond belief!
Was on the fence deciding among all the major brands...I bought a north face, Patagonia, marmot and wore them side by side a the Eddie Bauer....hands down this was the most comfortable fit, warmest and looked the best on me... Confirmed why I'm a solid EB customer!

Got this great coat at a great price using EBs available discounts. 16 ounces, very warm, great fit, very good look, hood doesn't have draw cinch but is fitted well. DWR finish on down and coat is a much needed upgrade I needed for all my mountain climbing, backpacking trips for warmth and safety. Great addition to my outdoor apparel. Very pleased and First Ascent is among the top of the line gear!
I also own the Patagonia down sweater (minus the hood) and this Eddie Bauer coat is just as good. The extra length and the addition of a hood make this coat warmer and more versatile. Took the dog for a long walk in 23 degree weather and this coat keep me warm.
Hood is permanently attached; if I have reviewed the images more closely, I would have realized it was not removable or storable in a zipper neck pocket. Otherwise, not complains. Fits true to size.
I had the original Downlight Sweater they released in '09 and loved it. Only problem with that jacket was that it never really stopped bleeding down. Eventually the sleeves lost so much insulation that they were basically useless. When I upgraded to this jacket I was pleased to see that they had added the option of a hood. This jacket is bomb. Solid construction, good colors, very warm, but still breaths when the temps start to climb.
Eddie Bauer has changed the fit of this latest downlight stormdown jacket. It seems to be more of a slim fit from the one I bought of the same size 3 years ago. I will be returning it. They are very good on returns and helps if you have a store near by.
