I accidently broke my original bird feeder after 7 years of usage, found this exact replacement on the Walmart online site. The birds love it, too. Being eight sided gives all the birds an equal change of getting food.
came assembled and was just right for wild birds, who also love it!
Good but little smaller than expected.
This feeder is a nice size &has large edge& access for birds to perch. My only problem Is having a bit of trouble locking the lid.Mostly I fill it from the bottom.
I had to return this because the online description did not give me a good idea as to it's size. I had both an identical model only 2 times larger at Walmart about 4 years ago. I had to replace it because a wind storm blew it off my hook and broke it beyond repair. I was thrilled to see it on online but was very disappointed when I got it because of its small size...impractical because it would have to be refilled way too often. BTW, the price was what I had paid for the larger one.
This bird feeder is VERY small. I didn't remember reading heights, or I missed them. It's about 8" tall. The ledge that is around the bottom has no holes in them for water drainage ( I drilled my own) so water fills up in heavy rain storms. The food gets wet from the rain collecting and doesn't come out of the bottom. So I'm not the happiest camper with this purchase. The only good thing is that the green parts are rubber, not plastic. So THAT should last a tad longer !~
good feeder but the "perch" sides do not come out far enough; most people not only have small birds come to be fed but large ones; I get 24 or more Doves every morning; I have a feeder I got from Walmart years ago & it is good for the larger birds but as usual that WalMart does, they quit carrying a product; has happened to many times when I'm use to a certain product at WalMart they quit carrying it; just like a product I give my dog have for yrs & yrs; it's an Omega 3 oil by Pro Sense for skin & coat care; but no worry, found out my grocery store chain carries it; too bad WalMart discontinues items as you lose my business & I find it elsewhere;
Super small for the same price as the big feeder. Also loop for hanging pulls out and your feeder falls to the ground and breaks. I bought 25 of these things and maybe 5 actually held up. Very poor quality.
I cannot get the birds to eat out of it! Have tried putting it in various places - even in the birdbath with seed around it! What could be the problem?????
It's cheap plastic and extremely hard to get the top off. I was afraid I was going to break it. Now that the seed is gone I have to try to get the top off again to refill with seed. I should have sent it back but the birds were waiting and I was tired of throwing their seed out on the ground. It'll probably break before I get any real use of it. I guess you get what you pay for. No wonder it was on sale. They were trying to get rid of it.
