Pros: Not very expensive, small but adequate size, comes with a stool, sturdier than expected. Cons: Stool is wobbly and not made well, table is difficult to put together, storage shelves are cloth covered cardboard.
We purchased this desk for our talented 12 year old artist. She/we love it! My husband was so impressed with the quality for something under $100 (we paid $85 to be exact). Yes, the drawers are fabric (like storage cubes) but they are very roomy as is the shelf under the desk. As you can see my daughter has not hesitated to break this in! *We purchased the magnifying lamp separately from Walmart (just so you don't expect it to come with the desk). Overall, I highly recommend this desk! Even if you are an adult, it is a great purchase and is absolutely wonderful for any small space. You can see though, that it has a lot of room for storage and plenty of work space.
Compact but with everything an artist or draftsman needs! Love this piece - my daughter is in the Visual Arts Academy in high school and it's great for her work. Assembly was not difficult either.

Bought it as a Christmas gift for my daughter. She is an aspiring artist, so I was looking for something she could draw on as well as paint. This works perfectly, as u can use it as an easel or flat desktop.
I purchased this design center for my embroidery machine. I chose not to attach the hinges that lift the desk since I didn't need them. I did attach the desk top to the frame so it wouldn't slide off. My embroidery machine sits perfectly on top and the embroidery arm has plenty of room to move. It does take time to put together as it comes unassembled and there is a lot of screws. The three drawers are actually fabric so I would not recommend putting anything to heavy inside. For my machine needles and scissors it will be fine. The shelf under the desk sits at a slight angle and my two boxes of thread sit there perfectly. All in all, I think this is going to work out fine.
Worked perfectly for what was looking for.. If is good for a 5 year old and a 11 year old. The storage is good. Would recommend.
The top is very steardy and it took some elbow grease. The only thing I had to custom make was the ledge. The metal piece they gave was flimsy and not steardy. I will probably custom make wooden drawers too.
I like this product but I had trouble raising the desk up and down and one of the screws wouldn't fit but over all it's sturdy and accommodates my needs.
