Sturdy like that the gate doesn't have a bar on the floor
Very nice and sturdy gate. Strong enough to withhold dogs or children. It's very nice not to have a threshold in the middle
We love our new baby gate. It's so convenient to open it and walk thru. We have a newborn so don't need it quite yet for the baby but we use it for our dogs. It will get lots of use.
This is the best gate I have ever used. It wasn't hard to install and it's a joy to use. I wish I had bought this for all the other doorways where I put the accordion-type gates. This one simply opens and closes like a door; no folding back and forth. If it is installed at the top of the stairs, it has a safety piece to keep it from opening toward the stairs. But if you don't need to install it on a stairway, you just leave off the safety piece and it will open both ways. Excellent gate.
We bought this gate because others we had tried were tripping hazards at the top of the stairs. This one has no threshold bar, which means there's nothing to trip on. Also, the mounting brackets are high enough that we were able to fit it over our baseboards. Additionally, I like that the handle is operable with one hand, and that the gate swings shut to latch. Overall, it's versatile and user-friendly!
This gate works great for our two pets. Metal gate that can handle the abuse of two growing puppies.
This gate is PERFECT! I wanted something I could screw into a wall and be more of permanent fixture and this is PERFECT! The quality is strong and is attractive; exactly what I hoped for.
We purchased this for our grandson to be used at the top of a long flight of stairs. The overall build is solid and seems to be good quality. We have extensive baseboard molding and I knew before purchasing that I would not have a level vertical surface. I had some extra wood flooring left from initial installation and used that on both sides for mounting. Without the extra wood there is no way it would have worked, so it's easier if your mounting surface is flat and even on both sides. The only reason I'm not giving this a 5 star is that I feel the design of this should include vertical adjustments if you don't have a perfectly flat wall. Installation was easy after I had installed my wood pieces except the way you have to adjust the width of the door opening is cumbersome. We are pleased with this product and seems like something that should last for years.

The locking mechanism is very poor. How did this pass safety inspection? My 15 month grandson was able to easily open the gate by pulling a certain way. It was installed correctly for non-believers. The gate was returned.
