This gate has been with me for six years. Until this year, I have used it indoors. Even though it wasn’t meant to be used outdoors, for almost a year now, I had to use an outdoor. Because if it getting wet and baking in the extreme heat, it is more difficult to use but it has lasted for a long time. I am on my way to my local Walmart today to purchase another one. I am moving in a couple days and I want to take the new one with me. This gate is lightweight, easy to use and is very portable.
Super easy install but if your kid is tall and can pull up onto things or climb I'd get the gates that screw into your walls. The bumper protectors fell off Super easily and the lock/tightening bar twisted easily because my kid kept shaking it in anger since he couldn't get into a room. For $10 this is pretty good though.
The new locks on these are absolutely horrible. Even the great price of $10 is not worth it. I don't want to be standing here for minutes playing with this thing. These will be returned.
The baby gate doesn't stay up. my 9 month old, who crawls, can knock it down easily. I can't even get the gate to secure itself. Very disappointed.
We can't even install it on any of our doorways, it falls over instantly. It's like everywhere is in between a notch and we haven't had any luck using it. One door we had it kind of installed and the minute my cat touched it, it fell over. Save your money and buy the expensive ones.
I thought the plastic monstrosity I used for the last few years was bad, but when it finally broke and I bought this gate, it proved me wrong. You would be better off building a baby gate out of popsicle sticks. This thing is ridiculous and flimsy! The way it latches is difficult. The whole thing is rickety. It's not like other wooden gates.
Lasted a full month and a half before the bar snapped. Just like the first one I got. And no, I wasn't making it too tight. The wood is the cheapest wood possible. Get something more expensive and better quality if you can afford it.
I thought this gate would be decent considering the price. My son has now learned to stand up and last night when he pulled himself up, the plastic on the inside of the holes sliced his finger in two different places. I'm not happy at all. Parents beware that the plastic is sharp. Cheaply made and not baby safe at all.
I bought 2 and the way it locks is pretty stupid I've got a huge bruise on my arm where it pinched my arms when I was trying to close it
Dangerously unstable, cheap junk. Evenflo should be embarrassed at the lack of quality. two of four rubber stoppers actually touch the doorway. The old ones were SO much better. Don't waste your money on this.
