It's a beautiful crib and it seems very sturdy, I can't wait for my daughter to use it. The only thing is that to put it together you must read the instructions and FOLLOW them step by step. My husband wanted to put the drawer together and it seems simple enough four sides and a bottom but if you don't build it in the correct order the pieces wont fit together, but as I made him take it apart and follow step by step the instructions then it was fine... lol...... Instructions are a little difficult, you really need to pay attention even to the tips.... but besides that it's wonderful.
After about 3 months of lookin for a crib, I finally chose this one. It is beautiful and sturdy, and the color is just perfect. It was very easy to put together. I took me and my sisters about 45 mins to put it together minus the drawer. The only thing about this is that the drawer is not very sturdy and I had to use Gorilla Glue to keep it together, but it's no big deal it's still beautiful.
We purchased this product through our local walmart. I knew that from the first time around with our almost 6 year old daughter that the Storkcraft name can't be beat. So after much consideration we decided upon this particular crib. My daughter just turned 8 months old and we needed something sturdy and secure for her. First of, I really liked the color. It was very easy to take out of the box and the parts were all wrapped very nicely. Everything was there. There were no nicks, scratches, etc...Just this beautiful solid honey colored wood. And this picture above doesn't show the true color. The crib itself is much richer in color than their picture on the website*i hope my pictures help!* I am fairly handy and was able to put it together within a matter of one half hour! 30 minutes for a woman guys!! Everything fit beautifully and didn't really need that much assembly as far as I'm concerned. I love how there is a permenant set of instructions stuck on the mattress board therefore you can't really ever lose the instructions and if you ever wanted to resell this would come in handy. This crib is just beatufiul! It's solid and the one handed drop rail is awesome and runs very smooth. The price was great. I would place this crib waaay above the pricey poorly made $500 crib we purchased for my first daughter 6 years ago that literally fell apart. I just don't know what more I can say about this crib. The fact that she will be able to use it for several other things is great. And the teething plastic that runs over the front rail is awesome too. My daughter loves it and so do I. I am very please and most definitly wouldn't hesitate a moment to recommend this product to anyone and I intend to do so. Now all I have to do is paint her walls purple and this will be looking amazing! I look forward to using this for my little girl Violette and who knows, maybe a "daisy" in the future!! Overall I am happy with this product, but given that my baby isnt here yet, I cant really speak to how well it holds up. It looks beautiful once it is put together, much darker wood than in the picture. I was worried, but I figured that oak is typically much darker and that it was just the lighting in the picture, and it was. It matches my other oak furniture perfectly. The directions were slightly lacking, but not too bad. I would say that if your significant other is not handy with a set of tools, get someone else to help them who is. My fiance and I put this together in about an hour and a half and it really did take both of us sometimes, I wouldnt recommend doing it alone. The drawer has NO directions, but its not hard to figure out, and I didnt buy the crib because of the drawer, so its not a big deal.
We purchased this crib as a replacement for one that was recalled. I love this crib so much. My daughter sleeps longer and better (weird cause we have the same mattress). It is so beautiful and easy to set up. I never set anything up and this I did within an hour even with my daughter running away with the parts she could get her hands on. It is darker than I expected but so beautiful that it doesn't matter. I am very satisfied with the crib and would highly recommend it!!!
I had my brother build the crib, so I am not sure about the ease of assembly. I did build the trundle drawer and that was simple. The wood is beautiful and it seems very sturdy. My only complaint is that a piece was chipped off when I took it out of the box, but a little wood glue fixed that right up.
I can admit that the crib looks much better than the picture gives credit. It's solid and is pretty good quality for the price. The problem we had was the drawer that slides under the crib didn't look as nice and the quality was not so hot. I had no intentions of using the roll out drawer anyway but for those who do, make sure you open that little box in the package first to see if it's to your liking. Overall, we love it.
This crib is pretty practical both price wise and use wise. Can't really beat the price and if it actually holds up thru all 4 stages, it's definitely worth it. However, there are a few down sides to this product ~ first off, the crib shown in the picture is MUCH lighter than what it really is. It's actually quite a dark oak color, which is beautiful, but not as pictured. Second, the wood is pretty soft, mars very easily and I can just imagine what the sides will look like once my son starts teething. Third, hopefully you have a good handyman around to help you when you put it together, because the directions are terrible. And last but not least, the trundle drawer was a good thought, is kinda nice to store extra blankets or shoes, etc, but was kinda disappointed in the quality.
I purchased this crib online in oak, even though in the picture it appears pretty light in color. The trim in our baby's room is oak & we took a chance. We used site to store so we could return it right away if it was the wrong color. Lucky us-it matches perfectly! There were only a few minor dings in the wood. The directions were a bit frustrating at times, it helped to lay out all the pieces ahead of time. Only some parts were labeled. No parts were missing. The trundle drawer isn't attached to the crib, just rolls out on casters, which is ok. The veneer on the drawer is a slightly different color than the crib, but when it's on the floor you can't tell. The drop rail is so nice & easy to operate! It took about an hour for my husband to put the crib & drawer together after I laid out all the pieces. We have 2 months before the baby arrives, so I will have to update the review at that time-so far, we love it-great value!
I just purchased this crib for my 5 month old and it was pretty much a breeze to put together considering I had to do it without my husband's. It's a pretty good item for the price. I liked the end result after putting it together and I would definitely purchase this item again.
