I live in a very small one bedroom apartment in NY for the time being and needed something that would fit in my tiny bedroom with my husband and me. This crib is beautiful, sturdy, easily assembled, and my daughter sleeps like a (pardon the pun) baby in it. She's happy, and if she's happy then it must be good. My only recomendation would be to get the 3 inch mattress. I bought the 6 inch mattress first but if you read the back it advises you not to use it in a crib but on the floor for safety purposes. The three inch gives more than enough support with the added safety of it not being to high. Also, with that size mattress you can easily use the porta crib sheets which you can get at babies r us or walmart (although i was unable to find them) for about 8 dollars a sheet. I hope this helps because i had so much trouble finding the right sizes for everything causing a lot of stress before my baby was born and could have used this advice myself. Good Luck!!
This mini crib is a very beautiful crib. for the price your money will be well spent. the crib is very sturdy and can last up to toddler yrs. the natural finish is beautiful and clean and this product looks great with the matching dress/changer combo. the mattress pad that comes with it os very thin so you have to purchase the mini crib mattress. you can add the mattress pad on top. since it is hard to find crib bedding for a mini crib you can purchase regular crib bedding and purchase the hold on sheet straps available at bed bath and beyond. works wonders. I haven't used the crib yet but i cant until my son comes so that i can.
I was looking at all of the product reviews before I purchased this crib and it stood up to all of the positive reviews I had read. It is easy to assemble with another person, study, beautiful, and most of all a super value. I am so happy with the size of it also, and all of the people that say the mattress is too thin, I really don't think so for an infant. Maybe when they convert it into a toddler bed but it works well for small babies. An OUTSTANDING product.
My husband and I bought this mini crib for our son in August. It is GREAT! It looks good and it is sturdy. I am only 4'9" so this crib is great for short people, plus we save on space. What kid needs THAT much room in a normal sized crib? I did have to buy a different mattress for it because it only comes with a 1" pad. The sheets are not hard to find if you shop online but I have never found any in-store. The only thing that I do not like is the wood IS soft so it dents easy. Other than that, it is a great product. Oh, and people always comment about how great our son's crib is! :)
I read some reviews where people are concerned about their child outgrowing this crib. My daughter just turned two years old and she still sleeps comfortably in this crib. She is always curled up on one side with plenty of room to spare. The quality of the crib is great and the size is perfect for small living spaces. No complaints, I just need to find the conversion kit for it.
I purchased this product about 2 weeks ago, I desperatly needed something small enough to fit in the limited space we currently have but something bigger then the bassanet we had my son sleeping in the first 6 months.. so I went with this and absolutly LOVE the design and look of it!!! My son however is already 7 months old and pretty big for his age, so I would suggest to anyone looking to purchase a mini crib to do it from the start (newborn) it'll last you a lot longer and you'll get more use for your money. But, luckily we arent having any problems with size yet! and he LOVES his new bed!!! I hope to use this product for at least another 6 months before he outgrows it and until we can find more room!
I love this crib. We bought it for our 5 month old and she loves it! This is the second mini crib we purchased, the first one was horrible so we returned it. I recommend buying it early to get more for your money!
We're expecting twins and just assembled two of these cribs. They are surprisingly sturdy, and nice...only time will tell how they hold up to two bouncing babies...initial impressions are that for the price, these are pretty solid pieces of furniture. The fact that they convert to beds with the addition of rails (to be purchased later), made our selection of these cribs almost a no-brainer. Hopefully they will go the distance.
Expecting baby #2 & after noticing how my 20 month old son sleeps always on 1 side of the crib he takes up so little space I kind of wish I would've got him a mini crib when he was born. Anyway it is exactly what we need-small Brooklyn apartment..2 babies.. you get the picture. Pros: I put it together myself 6 months pregnant very simple if you pay attention to the pictures in the instructions because they don't tell you which side is which you just have to look & figure it out. Small but convertible so it is a long term investment. Real wood. Four height options. Real nice design. No drop side-pro for me because I don't trust those things. Very light weight & easy to move around. Cons: very soft wood I nicked mine up while putting it together so I know once baby starts teething the rails are going to h3ll, mattress it comes with is a joke. I bought the 5 inch 50 coil mini mattress made by the same company which I really like. A regular crib sheet will fit on the 5 inch mattress with a little left over just tuck it tight underneath. Because of the height of the mattress I had to start on the 2nd level down instead of the 1st. The lowest one is maybe 6 inches above the floor if even. Really nice crib though only thing that would make it better would be if the conversion rails were included.
I purchased this small crib for my daughter who needed to put a crib in their room, The crib is darling looking , However she did say the wood is very soft , the slightest touches seem to make dents , I am not sure how long it will hold up ?I also had to buy an additional mattress.
