This was just as easy to convert to a full size bed as the other conversions. Just 2 side rails. Doesn't come with any slats and the head and foot board don't have ridges to support the mattress set. The associate at the mattress store said its not required-only sometimes preferred on a full size bed. I will definitely be buying additional support but functions and looks beautiful for now as my daughter is just 2! (But sometimes likes her siblings or mommy to bunk with her which means additional weight)
These rails are great. Super sturdy. Look great. They are low to the ground, so there is not any room for storing anything under the bed. The only issue I ran into was with the bolts. When I used the bolts included with the rails, they were too short (I just used the longer bolts from the crib to secure it and it is fine.) I'm not sure the model of the Babymod crib that I have, so I may have just ordered the wrong rail package. I highly recommend them.
We bought a crib about 4 years ago from an outlet and didn't know that we would need these rails to convert it. It was actually a brand sold by JCPenney and the rails fit it, which was good because they were out of the white rails. These at wal-mart were less than 1/2 the price of the other places I could find them. Quality seems fine and sturdy. We are happy with the rails.
I bought these conversion rails for my daughter's Simplicity Ellis crib. I read another review on these (in black# that said they fit after drilling holes, so I tried them. Simplicity is out of business, so there doesn't seem to be many options if I want white rails. Yes, they fit very well after drilling extra holes. We also bought screws that were an extra inch longer than what came with either the crib or the rails #59 cents each at the local hardware store). Once it was put toghther as a full size bed, the bed is nice and sturdy and we're VERY happy with it!
We had a Simplicity convertible crib which is no longer in business and therefore needed rails that would convert my daughters crib to a full size bed. These did the trick, however we needed to drill an additional screw hole into each end of the bed in order to firmly secure the rails. Also, we bought an additional support system from the mattress store that provides support in the middle of the bed for the mattress as the rails themselves have a VERY small lip that holds the mattress in place...we wanted some additional support.
We purchased these about 2 weeks ago to convert our DaVinci Annabelle mini crib into a twin bed. Amazon had these for sale for twice the price. So, on a suggestion from another reviewer, we purchased these through Walmart. They fit perfectly and were very simple to attach. They just screw in using the same hardware that the crib used. All pieces were there. Then we had a choice between putting on a box spring or purchasing wooden slats to go across to hold up only a mattress. We opted for the latter. I purchased 10 1x4" pine slats from Home Depot, stapled a ribbon to link them together, and WaLa! We have bed! Thanks, Walmart, for the cheaper option.
We are expecting baby #2 for whom we bought a new crib. The crib our first-born used was about to be donated when we realized that we could convert it to a full size bed and actually get our $$$ worth. We converted a BabyMod Lily (bought it in 2009) with these rails and the bed looks great! The rails arrived on time, there wasn't a single scratch on them, and all the holes were aligned. BEWARE: There are NO instructions for this conversion in the box, so if you lost your crib instructions, you will need to use your brain a little (or search the internet), but we got through just fine. Also, we have misplaced our original screws that went with the crib, and the screws that arrived with the rails were too short for the legs of the crib where they should connect to the rails, so we had to buy screws at Home Depot (cost about $5). All in all, the bed looks great and the rails were pretty simple to install.
It's a good product but the rails are not included... You have to buy them separately! Since is the conversion kit it must have everything!!!
You will need to purchase additional support for the middle like all of the previous reviewers mentioned. You pay the additional support and this conversion kit, you might buy a new bed. Also the instruction came with the kit was totally wrong.
Had to drill additonal holes to fix it to delta crib , it is not a plug and play , you need tools drill and drive set. If you are not bit handy I would not suggest this. The problem is the alignment of holes of this rails with the head board and foot board of the crib. I think wood is poor quality.
