Beautiful crib! My husband had to make some of the treads bigger to fit into barrel bolts. Luckly he had the tool to do that. Otherwise the crib went together good. Took him about an hour and a half. Looks just as good as some of the cribs that cost double the price at other stores. The crib was packed very well. We haven't got to use it yet but I am sure my grandson will love it! I do. Grammy
This crib is absolutely beautiful. The color of the wood and the lines are fantastic. As other reviews have said it looks very expensive and is very nice. There were very few minor dings that aren't even noticeable, but that should be expected with any furniture item that is shipped. My husband put the crib together very easily and we are both pleasantly surprised at how sturdy the crib is and that the drawer is even well made. I would highly recommend this crib.
after having to call to get the hardware (there wasn't any in the box) and having to get a part replaced, I am glad to say it is wonderful. They told me it would take 3-4 weeks to get the parts but it barely took over a week. The directions are fairly easy to read...as long as you find the "pre-assembly" packet of parts and directions. We haven't put it to use yet but it withstood my weight (which I must say is more than any child should ever weigh while in a crib) and doesn't shake at all. I did however NOT put the wheels on...so I am not sure how that might affect the durability of the crib
This product is an excellent value and I put it together by myself, 6 months pregnant. It took me 2 hours, but it's not easy with a belly in the way! looks nice in baby John's room!!
When my wife and I first purchased this product i was kind of nervous due to the fact that i didn't read the reviews first. A lot of people were complaining about how hard it was to assemble and how certain nuts & bolts weren't matching up. Let me say this, assembling this crib was a breeze, and im not even that handy. It took me about 2hrs, mostly because i was taking my time; its dark wood, i didn't want to scratch it up. Also, we did the site to store purchase which took about 2wks. Overall This crib worked out perfect. Very study and sleek looking. My only suggestions are, make sure you bring a truck because the box is huge (not heavy) and if you can, have someone to help you assemble. I did it myself, and i know that if i had help it would have shortened the time spent on assembling.
Overall the product is worth what we paid for it, we weren't expecting real wood and knew it would be so so quality. Took about 2 hours for us to put together and the only complaint is the crib pieces are not numbered. It would also be nice if the drawer at the bottom had knobs. After putting it together it is sturdy and looks good!
I absolutly love this crib! It's beautiful and just what I wanted for my baby. My only complaint is that the directions are glued to the crib mattress support. This made putting the crib together quite tricky since by step 2 the mattress support is attatched to the rest of the crib. Otherwise, the crib is perfect.
I recently purchased this crib and my husband and i put it together. It is a nice color and size. Although it came with a few chipped pieces of wood and some type of paint/polish on it which i wiped off, i didn't get too upset about it because nothing is made perfect. If you plan on purchasing a mobile with this, it probably won't be able to fit on the side of the crib because mines didn't. I just wanted something safe and comfy for my baby to sleep in. Overall, i like the crib and it's not so bad.
This crib arrived on time and all the pieces were present and undamaged. It took my husband and I about two and a half hours to put it together and looked gorgeous when we were done. However, the directions leave much to be desired. For one thing, there are different sets of directions for different components of the crib and there is no indication of where to start - so if you order this crib, put the sides together BEFORE you start putting the whole thing together and save the drawer for last. Keep the hardware from each set of directions SEPARATE! I made the mistake of organizing all the hardware together, not realizing it would confuse things later. Keep a ruler handy to measure the lengths of the bolts because those are easy to mix up. The drawer was the most frustrating part to put together because the bottom of the drawer just wouldn't sit in the grooves all the way around - we just couldn't get it to fit in right. However, once together the drawer did slide nicely in and out of the crib. The side rail lowers easily and smoothly. Shown here with Crown Craft's Little Star Crib set. I am currently 6 months pregnant with my first baby (a boy) and I can't wait to put him in this crib!
We put this together last night - it was the last piece of furniture for our son's room. The brackets that hold the mattress board never would tighten up enough, they can still move! Also, part of the side has to be pre-assembled, which is only indicated inside the bag of hardware used for pre-assembly. Be sure that you do not put this together alone - you need minimum 2 people for all of this if you want to put it together without breaking some of the pieces. Honestly, it went together fast, but I'm not really satisfied with the sturdiness of the crib.
