I LOVE THIS CRIB!!!! My husband & I looked for many months for a WHITE crib that had a simple design, no drop siderail & was affordable. It only took 1-1.5 hrs for my husband & I to put it together. He only needed my help in the beginning to keep the sides up. I wish I could post a picture, but its .04MB to large. I can admit that it was scary to buy online without seeing it in person, but I had to trust all the other reviews people had posted. It really is a great crib, very sturdy. If you are thinking about buying it, don't hesitate, please buy it now!!
My husband put this together, and said that the lower railing did not have a hole drilled in the bottom so he had to do it manually, which was nerve racking as he was worried about cracking the wood. Not full wood, more like pressed wood pieces. It does have a matte finish and looks good. The headboard portion has gaps between the two main posts and the top of the board. Not a fan, but not a deal breaker.
We received this crib without any scratches or missing parts. My husband put it together easily and within a couple of hours. The crib itself is very sturdy and beautiful! It looks just like the picture. I also bought the Storckcraft Combo unit and the paint matches perfectly. I would rate this five stars but our little one isn't here to use it yet! Love the crib!!!
We purcased this crib in January and it arrived at Walmart within 2 weeks. . . There was no damage to packaging, but when we went to put the crib together, we noticed a small crack on one of wood end pieces where a spindle attached to the frame. Based on reviews we read, we were worried about how dificult it might be to get a replacement part. However, when I called Childcraft's customer service, they told me immediately the information they needed (sales reciept, photo of damage, address), and that they would get a new part to me within 4-6 weeks. (They do not stock wood replacement parts) In reality, the customer service rep had it rushed and we received the part within 2 weeks - plenty of time to put the crib together for our little one! I have absolutely no complaints about their response time and the crib looks great. This crib was the most complicated to assemble of all the infant items we have purchased (directions were a little hard to follow), but my handy husband and I put it together within an hour. . . . The directions could be a little more clearly written, but overall, I am very happy with our childcraft's crib!
We purchased this crib after reading that Child Craft was an excellent brand for quality and value, and this seems to be true. There were a few place that we noticed the paint is a little scratched, but we are just going to touch it up. Assembly was not too difficult. The crib feels very sturdy; with sturdy hardware and no moving parts. I bought a Delta changer to go with it, which matches the paint fine. It looks very cute in her room!
This is a beautiful, true white crib, but it arrived with some knicks on it. Also, we are still waiting on a replacement part because the holes on it didn't match up with the side it needed to be attached to. It is annoying to receive parts that don't fit and then to have to wait two weeks now!
I chose this crib after searching in stores and on-line for a few months. I was looking for a bright white crib that was reasonably priced. This crib looks great and is a great bright white. The only downfall was that there were some scuff and scratch marks on the crib when we took it out of the box (one noticeable gouge in particular). Other than that, it is very sturdy and looks great. The bumper is a little hard to tie on the four corners but will work fine. I would definitely recommend this crib.
This is a very good looking crib, perfect for a traditional decor. It is very solid and well made. The hardware is great-- easy to use and strong. The assembly directions are terrible. They are hard to understand; the pieces are referred to by letter but are unlabeled. The pictures are not clear. Do yourself a favor and study the pieces, setting up as many as you can before attaching them. It took us 3 trys, starting from the beginning each time.
I'm happy with how solid the crib appears to be. I just feels safe. I am still waiting on the little one to give it a real assessment. I haven't tried putting a mobile up on it yet, but I have a feeling, given the conversion to full bed design, that there may be some limitations.
After all other pieces from this line were delivered damaged, I may be a bit jaded. But I have to say the crib looks nice and feels very sturdy. My husband did say the instructions were horrible and assembly was ridiculous. We are educated people and have two graduate degrees between the two of us. So I don't think reading is an issue. We are both quite pleased with finished crib.
