This crib is amazing!! It is so sturdy we were amazed! It was not at all hard to put together. It took us less than an hour. There is just a lot of parts to it and as long as you keep everything in the boxes until you need them, it is very simple to put together! We were very impressed with this crib! The ONLY thing is that the changing pad didnt fit on the changing table part but we really didnt care! This is the best crib out there!!! I HIGHLY recommend it!!
My wife and I bought this for our new baby that will be coming soon. We have not used it but I have assembled it. Assembly took about 3 hours and I build cars, house projects, and have worked in engineering for 9 years. It wasnt too difficult and I did put most of it together alone but could prove difficult for some I think. I really like the value this crib brings us as we have a small bedroom. With the combination of the built in changing table and crib drawers along with a closet organizer we dont need a dresser or a seperate changing table taking up more space. The quality of the product is not the best. When putting it together the wood split a few times placing the screws directly in the inserts but nothing that will make it fall apart. I was also not totally satisfied by the paint job as it is just not consistant and some portions you could see wood through the paint but its not unbearable. I would recommend this product if you can get passed the quality and paint job because the value and style is great.
This is a beautiful that our daughter and son-in-law were very happy about. The box was rather chewed up and two of the boards were split, but not in visible places. All the pieces were there, no need to chase screws or other parts. In defense of Wal-Mart, we did not notify the store of these defects as time did not permit. It was fairly easy to put together. The pieces were well marked. The finished product was very nice, looks beautiful in the nursery, and really helps to localize things need close at hand for the baby.
Product looked great once together. Took 5 hours to complete. Some of the holes were too big for the screws. Once the changing table section was put on top of the crib portion, the rails didn't seem to line up. I had to redrill a few holes. When puting the drawers together, the wood seemed to split easily. Once past all this, the crib looks great when completed. Could be very difficult for some. Should be better quality for the price.
My husband and I had lots of problems putting the changing table part of it together. Things didn't line up, and the drawers needed some major adjusting in order to get them to close properly. Overall the crib is working good and looks great in the nursery! The other issue that I STILL have is I can't seem to find a changing table pad that fits...so as of now the changing table isn't even getting used! I'm pretty disappointed about that. The standard changing table pads are too long for this changing table.
This crib is beautiful! I love it....however because the holes were drilled unevenly in the dresser/changing table the drawers hang a little crooked. We had to actually round the corners of the bottoms of the drawers with a pair of scissors so that they could slide into the slots because the slots didn't line up. THEN! one of the holes in the bottom of the crib wasn't deep enough to put a bolt in and get it to screw so we had to drill it out a little. Then the holes that attatch the changing table to the crib didnt line up with both wooden pegs in place so I had to leave one peg out just so I could get the bolts in...it really is a grand adventure to put together, my husband and I have been working on it in shifts all day because it is so frustrating!! hey, atleast nothing was broken!!! :D
I love this crib. It is very beautiful once it's put up. It is made of good quality and very durable. It's well worth the money. The only negative thing I must say is that it was very hard to assemble. I had problems from the first screw to the last screw. Being so excited about the crib, I took all the pieces out the box and realized that the parts were not label the boxes were. This took a long time to figure out. Holes were too big for the screws. There were screws that were not the right screw that came in the pack. All in all it was a nightmare. But, the good out weigh the bad. If you like a challenge at assembling things, this one will give you a run for your money. This could have just been a bad one but the crib is beautiful. I would buy it again.
The crib is pretty hard to assemble. My Husband is quite the handy man and it was even difficult for him. You have to resort to drilling new holes for things to fit, peices split when that happens..we even had to order a new drawer for the bottom of the crib because it wasnt even the right piece (I will say though that the company was very willing to send out a new peice right away) Also, very frustrating is the changing table. The dimensions are 15.5" X 27.5"..and there is NO changing table pad that size anywhere in America..trust me..Ive spent the better half of my pregnancy looking for one. I ended up just going to JoAnn Fabrics and buying foam padding in those dimensions and making one up myself. The only downfall is now I dont have a changing pad with contoured sides or straps so I will constantly have to watch and hold my baby so they dont roll off. Overall..for $400..thats alot to pay for a crib with so much hassle. I really dont know what they expect you to do about the changing table..and almost all reviews show people with chipped wood. But, if you're looking for a cib with a TON of storage and something not to take up alot of space in a room I would definitely recommend this crib.
The crib is funxional but my main issue is that the changing pad that this unit requires is not available for purchase. I have gone to several stores and the standard is 16 x 32. This unit requires 15.5 x 27.5. One of the main reasons I purchased this was because it was a crib and changing table in one. Now I have no way to use the changing table. The manufacturer does not list a phone number for you to contact them either on the instructions. You can fax them and that is it... NOT Helpful!! If I would have realized that the changing pads that are available in the retail market would not fit this bed then I would not have purchased.... Also the finish on the bed is very shoddy! Buyers beware
My husband and I found this crib online at different sites for a lot more than Walmart was charging so when we saw it for under $500 we jumped on it. Once we started putting it together we quickly realized the quality was extremely poor. The wood was splintering already and the materials were very soft and slightly damaged. We took it apart quicker than we assembled it and will be returning it to the store. Though the crib looked great in the pictures, it is not what it appears to be!
