It is very nice for the price and surprisingly has a lot of wood parts for the money paid. It appears to be identical to the Beatrice model, but cheaper in price. The instructions are so-so and it took about 2.5-3 hours to assemble, taking time not to damage anything. The top, front pieces, and drawer fronts are all stained wood, while the drawer components and dreser sides are a veneered particle board. The only complaint is with the dresser door - the predrilled holes for the door brackets could have been positioned a little lower. As is the door didn't align quite right, but my husband did something to modify the bracket height (rather than modifying the holes) and now it opens and closes properly and easily. The three drawers appear a little shallow as well. Overall though a very attractive product and you can't beat the price. As the baby isn't here yet, I cannot attest to the longevity or durability of the product.
When searching for a dresser for my nursery I couldnt find anything that would be big enough or what I wanted as far as finish. Then while shopping on Walmart.com I came across this perfect dresser and cabinet combo. It was the right size, had a cabinet and was in a cherry finish. Yeah Perfect!!! So I ordered it had it sent to the store, picked it up and started assembling it. It was easy enough to assemble that I did it by my self at eight months pregnant and the cherry finish was more then I expected. It has beautiful color and matching wood knobs and would work perfect in either a boys room or a girls room. Plus its something simple enough that he can grow up with it. I love this product and would recommend to anyone that is looking for a combo dresser that is big enough without taking up to much room to get this one and to buy it from walmart. They had the best price and the best product!! Thanks Walmart you never let me down.
I was getting this dresser because we got the matching crib to go with it and its great. The color is very nice the shelves are very roomy the little door on the side is also very roomy the size is justy perfect not to wide and just the right height. There was one thing when my b-f was assembling it first of all it takes a while so have a little patience and the parts that were put by the manuf. were a little off like the holes where you put the screws were off so the door when you open it hits the bottom of the dresser when you open and close, a minor problem that we can fix later, but other than that its great. I even put a changing pad on the top of it so i can use it as a changing table too!
We haven't gotten the "Allison" crib yet also by stork craft to see if this matches, but my husband put the dresser together yesterday and it looks beautiful! Took him a few hours after putting a piece on backwards with a lot of screws lol, but once together its great. Drawers are pretty roomy (unless you got as many clothes as we did!) and the finish makes the dresser look expensive. Its also VERY heavy which is a plus for us considering the price we paid. Drawers move very smoothly, everything but the backing to the dresser is wood. No idea what the difference is between this one and the other stork craft tower dresser, but, glad we saved some money and got this one :) Baby isn't here yet, so haven't gotten to use anything much yet!
There are a lot of parts to this assembly, so have some patience. A cordless screwdriver would be a great time saver. Once completed, you can be proud of your effort.
This is a beautiful piece of furniture. It was easy to assemble and it looks expensive. The wood is a beautiful cherry. The piece is steady and very nice.
There are 24 steps to follow in putting this dresser together. The directions were pretty easy to follow and it went smoothly, but it took a long time to get it all done. Looks great now that it is together and matches our Cherry crib very nicely. Haven't had a chance to use it much yet, so can't comment on how well it works and how usable it is.
Overall the look of this product is nice, although it's constructed of mostly partical board rather than solid wood. My husband and I put the dresser together in about two hours without any problems. I don't expect that this product will last more than five years, because of the quality.
There were a number of scratches in the wood and even a few cracks. The finish is a pretty color, but shows every little bit of dust. There was an mark on the side where it looks like someone took a pen and put an x in the wood. (Saw this afer getting it together.... after all the effort I was honestly mad) this side isn't really seen in our room so I can live with it. I just don't have the energy or time to fight about it or return the thing. Pieces aren't labeled for assembly and all the screws come mixed up together so it takes a while (and some patience) to put together. No text directions to follow, only pictures. So if you aren't a visual direction type of person don't get this. I don't know how long it will last as our little one isn't here yet. Drawer bottoms are thick cardboard, so don't be surprised.
The dresser seems like a great buy, but don't let the picture fool you. I was not satisfied from the minute I opened the package. The "engineered" wood was crumbling at the edges. My husband and I tried to put the dresser together anyway, but we got so frustrated we decided it was not worth all of the trouble. We took everything apart and returned it!! I would definitely spend the extra money to buy a quality product.
