This unit is great for the price. Whenever you buy things like this you need to understand you get what you pay for. It took a bit of tweaking to get it all together but it is overall a good piece of furniture. If you are looking for heirloom furniture, check out the $2300 version of this built by the Amish. If you don't have $2300 to spend this will do the trick fine. If you are realistic in your expectations, you won't be disappointed by this product!
Great dresser. I started assembling it at 5 am and was finished by 7 am with minimal tools required. The end product is great with the exception of a board that split in two places when drawn tight. It really had little effect on the structural integrity and was out of site so I left it go. Overall I am very satisfied and ordered the matching Armoire right after I finished assembling the dresser. I picked the Armoir up today- hopefully the color matches and it is as well made. The dressor really is a nice size and has plenty of room for the changing pad, extra pampers & wet wipes. Read and UNDERSTAND the directions before you assemble anything first!
I purchased this product for a nursery that provides care for multiple children on limited days of the week. It is a nice unit because of the extra counter top space that allows a place for wipes and other necessities. Some of the pieces were a little flimsy on putting it together, but it seems very sturdy and it is nice to have the extra space for items in the drawers. For the price (being a less costly unit of its nature) it is nice. If you are looking for a more high end product however, I would say that this would not be the best choice as there are some cheaper elements to it!
I gave this product four stars and not five overall because the drawers don't line up properly the top drawer sticks the middle drawer is offset a little (nothing really noticeable) and the bottom drawer sticks as well, and for the overall price of it not being spot on with the drawers! Maybe they will loosen up over time. The set up takes about as long as you would think for putting a larger peice of furniture together that doesn't have much pre-assembled. The price could be a little cheaper, but I'm not used to having to buy furniture all the time, so I guess this is the price things are now days! No scratches on our dresser combo and the shipping for site to store was quicker than what it foretold. FYI: the walnut finish is a little darker than our walnut crib finish, I would say it's closer to a cherry finish.
I am happy with this dresser...we didn't want to spend a ton on a dresser that has a good chance of getting marked up, etc. because it's for our daughter, so for the price that we paid, we are happy with it. I do have to say that the instructions are not written very well, so it was frustrating for my husband to put it together, but it looks great. Also, the photo online of the walnut dresser is actually much darker, more like a cherry.
I love the look of the changing dresser. If you are looking for "walnut" this is NOT walnut. I knew this from previous reviews, and the color swatch online. It is CHERRY, so make sure you know that if you want walnut. It seemed to be a pain to put together, but my husband did it, and joked later, "SOME assembly required, HA!" The drawers dont close as smootlhly as I'd like, but for what we paid for it, we'll deal. Looks great in our baby's room, and he can definitely grow into it for other uses as well.
The crib definitely meets our expectations for the price. The finish is darker than it appears online, but it's beautiful. A couple of the drawers are a little loud and bumpy to pull out, but they will work just fine. Overall very happy with the look and the function of the combo unit. We also use the top surface as a changing area.
This item is descent, but not worth the time or money put into it. The dresser is quite a pain to put together. The directions are ok, but they don't show you enough detail of the piece you are putting together so it's hard to tell if you're doing it right or not. There are a couple places where things are not pre-drilled. If you purchase, do yourself a favor and use a cordless drill, you won't regret it. The drawers are a little shallow, but not as bad as some dressers we saw and they do not pull out all the way so it's hard to reach things in the back. One of the pieces, the left side came scratched and dented so we had to call the manufacturer, (which is not Graco, it's Lajobi) and order a replacement. That one was in stock so it took a week to arrive. Once we got that we put the dresser together only to find out that one of the drawer fronts and a right side drawer and a left side drawer side were not made correctly. We had to call and order those replacement parts and they are not in stock so it can take up to 2 weeks to get them shipped. Right now I am still missing a drawer, but at least they were easy to work with on getting the replacement parts, it's just taking longer than one would hope. They did give me the option of returning it to the store, but that wasn't possible since the entire dresser was put together already. The actually color of this product is actually a walnut/cherry color mix. It's on the darker side, but there is definitely red in it. It worked out perfect for us because it matched the crib we bought, but if you are looking for walnut note that this has red in it.
This unit has many pieces and when we finished putting it together which was about 2 hours and was putting the last drawer in it would not fit. The drawer was cut too long so I would have to cut it off and then stain it and it would never be the same color. I will be returning this unit already put together
I bought this changing table/dresser for my son. I had nothing but problems with it from the beginning.. It was SUPPOSED to be a walnut finish to match the crib, but it was a cherry finish. I figured the different colors were annoying, but I would keep it, as I had my son early. However, after putting the dresser together I found that the piece was very cheaply made. The drawers don't slide easily - they stick and get lopsided. The cabinet door keeps falling off- probably because they had the wrong size screws in the kit (it called for a 1.5 in and they gave me .5 in screws). I just returned the cursed thing. It's not a piece of furniture that will last through the years, which is what I'm looking for. And I certainly would not recommend for anyone to buy it!!!
