We purchased the Beige Microfiber Slipcover. The color is a pale tan, even though the online color looks more white. The fabric is great and fits really snug to the chair, you can't tell it's a slipcover once it is on. My daughter broke in the fabric a few days ago spilling a red colored smoothie. The smoothie wiped right off with just a damp cloth. So far we are more than pleased with this slipcover.
I looked all over for a good quality slipcover that was in my budget and found these on Wal-Mart.com I love them and the quality of the fabric given the price is pretty unbelievable. I needed two and they really make the kid's toyroom look pulled together. They should hold up for years with the kids.
I ordered the dark denim slip cover and I'm very pleased. *The fabric feels substantial; it's heavy denim. *Nice accent piping is sewn around the arm rests and the sides of the back. *It fits the Rocker Frame exceptionally well. At first there were a few loose spots but after I pulled and tugged on the slipcover from many different directions I was able to adjust it so it fit just perfectly. A few blasts of steam from my iron took out the deep wrinkles from packaging...
I really liked the idea of having slipcovers you could remove to wash, or change the color if you wanted since we got this for our nursery. It fits really snug, but went on rather easily. It also has velcro all around the bottom so it doesn't look like a slipcover at all. We got the green, it is a really pale green, not really what I was expecting, but it worked out nicely. I still really like this product.
I got the green and it was the perfect light shade...looks great in the nursery. My only warning is that it is dry clean only so I sprayed mine with Scotchguard and it went on fine. For those considering the chair, the box is not terribly big so I recommend shipping to the store for free. We paid to have ours delivered to our home because we weren't sure it would fit in our SUV...it would have.
I am pleased with the rocking chair and slip cover. It looks good and is comfortable. I haven't washed it yet, so I can't comment on that aspect. I am very happy with the quality for the price paid. It is compairable to the chairs from pottery barn or babies r us at a much better price. My only complaint is the slip cover was hard to get on. It was definately a 2 person job. Lots of tugging and pulling, but after lots of manipulation of the fabric, it looks nice! Good buy for the money!!!
You must buy a slipcover if you buy the rocker frame - rocker looks horrible without one. I chose denim blue for my son's room. The website denim blue is actually a bit more vibrant in color than the real thing, but I'm not opposed to how it turned out. I am opposed to the smell however! Upon opening the package I noticed a heavy chemical smell to the fabric and soon my whole house had the smell lingering in the air. Make sure to air the slipcover out well in a garage or something before putting on the chair in your house! The fabric is nice and thick though and will hold up to wear and tear. The tag says dry clean only but since it is just denim I see no reason why it couldn't be machine washed on cold and line dried. It is a very tight fit on the frame but I put it on by myself without a struggle. Velcros down into place in multiple areas to keep the cover snug and in place. Overall I'd buy this cover again.
The microsuade slipcover is nice. Mine fit a little snug and velcro at base is a little short. If you have pets that might sit on it, you might want to go with a darker color. It matches my nursery perfectly and will go with the rest of my furniture in my home if I decided to use it some where else.
I bought the butter twill cover. The picture on the webpage is a bit lighter than the real cover. Which I read with other reviews too. I would describe it as a yellowish-tan. Approx a shade or two darker than the picture. It fits perfectly - just like the picture. A cinch to put on the chair. Good value.
We bought the first slipcover in denim blue. I wanted the other blue they show as a choice but it is never ever in stock. The denim ended up looking pretty good in our baby nursery. As a back up, we bought the beige microfiber. I wanted to get the green but its really hard to tell what shade of green it is, looks very pastel / mint green, girly to me, so I settled on the beige. I like the fact that you can change the slipcover so easily, they fit really well, (chair and ottoman) and because of the colors available, we can use this in any other part of our home in years to come. The cover was easy to put on and I did it myself when I was 35 weeks prego. Only thing I wish is that it wasn't dry clean only. Bit of a hassle, but overall still quite worth it!
