I love this car seat! The "Z" handle is wonderful! It is so much easier to carry than the normal straight handle carseat. To me it seems more natural. My son road in this carseat for a 16 hour roadtrip and it was great! He slept the whole time. Also a plus to this carseat is how light weight it is! My friends didn't think about this when they bought their expensive carseat that by itself weighed atleast 10 pounds! Add a baby to that and it is really heavy! They wish they had bought this car seat! Def. a must have!!
This car seat is the lightest in weight that I've found! The "z" shaped handle is perfect for easy handling. I love it!
I was a bit apprehensive about the car seat as it is one of the least expensive offered by Walmart but after two weeks I'm still impressed with it. It has the great "z" handle for easy carrying, it's lightweight, and is one of the very easiest seats to put in and take out of the car. Also on Walmart.com you can purchase another separate base for this car seat so no more struggling with transfers between cars. One unexpected plus - the same mechanism that clamps the car seat into it's base also clamps onto the child seat portion of a standard shopping cart. You won't be disappointed!
I love this seat. We had a Snugride with my daughter and now we wanted something else for our son. Our children tend to take after my husband who is very very tall and broad shouldered so we wanted something that would last a little longer. We still had the stroller from my daughter's set and decided on this seat for the new baby. I am very happy with our choice. It was fully assembled when I took it out of the box, but I washed everything anyway. It has alot of the safety features that the pricier ones had. It installed so easy and I really like the handle on it. Much easier to carry. We bought a head supprt to put in it. Our son came home last week and he will tolerate nothing else. He will only sleep in our arms, in his bassinet, or this seat. Everyone is on a tight budget with the economy the way it is, so I say save yourself some money and some sanity. BUY THIS SEAT!
This car seat is sturdy, easy to use and cute to boot! Very easy to carry and can attach to a universal stroller and the shopping cart at the store! I had a Graco with my first son and he cried all the time in it like he was not comfortable. This baby sleeps from the moment he is in it until you take him out. The car seat is not hard to get in and out of the car once you get the hang of it.
I got this as a gift and it's wonderful! It fits right into shopping carts AND my stroller!! My only complaint is that it could be a little easier to change the position of the straps.. what a pain that was!! This was a very good product for the money spent on it!!!!
i got this car seat for a baby shower present. i expected it to be a good car seat and it was really cute. well the straps are really a pain to adjust and the plastic covers around the straps fall off bc you have to pull so hard to adjust them. the straps are too close to my daughters neck and leave marks. it is really hard to get out of the base you have to tip it forward to get it out. its really a pain in a small, low car. the shade if you pull it too far forward it falls off the back and falls on her head and it doesnt block the sun and actually eventually it ended up just popping off all together. i would definitely recommend staying away from this car seat
this is a horrible carseat, we knew it was as soon as we had put it together. 1st : over 5 of the pieces were missing and we got (evenflo) to replace them, then after weeks of waiting we finally got the carseat put together, and the straps would not even go to a bigger size , so we could only use for a newborn! we were going to go for an outing AND THEN THE PART OF THE STRAP KEPT FALLING OFF!!! we called evenflo and they said that they did know what was wrong! so i took it back and got a Graco SnugRide It was spectaclure! PLEASE BUY THE GRACO BRAND 1st!
THIS CARSEAT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO GET IN AND OUT OFTHE CAR. I HAD 2 SIT THE SEAT FORWARD TO GET THE SEAT LATCHED IN. THE CANOPY WOULD NEVER STAY UP AND WAS NOT LONG ENOUGH TO KEEP THE SUN OUT OF MY DAUGHTERS EYES. THE STRAPS ARE DIFFICULT TO ADJUST ALSO.
I got this infant carseat for my nephew. The car seat was really hard to get out of the base. You have to tip the seat all the way forward and you cannot do that with a baby in it. I would not recommed this seat to anybody. I returned this seat and I got a graco sungride. I love that carseat and it snaps out of its base in no time. Do not Buy the Evenflo Discovery 5. It Is not worth your money
