If you are a regular flosser, then you know what awful floss is - that's too thin and doesn't give you a feeling like you are doing anything good for your gums. This floss isn't like that, this floss is GOOD! It's flat like tape, but easy to pull through your teeth and has a little bit of mint too. I got to try this free (thank you), but it will be on my shopping list to buy next time!
I received the Listerine Ultraclean Mint Floss, 30 yd package as a Walmart Spark Reviewer. The Listerine Floss is packaged in an easy to peel open packet with the open on the lower right side. The floss is packaged in a plastic flip open type container. It is extremely easy to wrap the flat floss around the silver break off and breaks easily. The floss does not have an extremely strong flavour but is pleasant and has just enough mint to be nice in the mouth. I like the flatness of the Listerine mint floss as it goes into the tight spaces between the teeth easily. I have several crowns and have had problems with a variety of flosses especially the round ones. I have also had problems with floss breakage. The Listerine Ultraclean Mint Floss did not break and I used it to floss top and bottom. My opinion of this floss is that it is quite good and I will purchase it in the future. I do recommend this floss.
This floss is easy sliding and results in a superior clean. It is a pretty light blue color. It is wider, flatter, softer, & smoother, with a soothing minty flavor. The mint taste leaves your mouth feeling and smelling refreshed . As a person who flosses regularly I found this floss to be much more comfortable to use than regular floss or dental tape, both of which can cut your gums easily. This new floss slides easily between teeth and is wider resulting in a larger cleaning area. The floss is made with" Micro-Grooves" technology that grabs up to 2x more plaque than "Glide" mint floss. This floss feels very silky and more enjoyable to use than any other floss I have ever used. I recommend this floss to everyone.
I had used another Floss for years. Unexpectedly it became discontinued. I was ready to resort to locating it on eBay because I wasn't convinced there was another to replace it. Till yesterday I went to our neighborhood "Bargain Hunt" Store and found the Listerine Ultraclean Mint Floss and decided to try it, and to my surprise it's better than what I had used for years! Johnson & Johnson thank you for such wonderfully strategically designed dental floss. So glad I found another to replace what I had used for years; and I'm happier with it than the floss I had used for years!
i really like the taste of listerine ultra clean floss, not only does it freshens your breath but it also is pretty strong and doesnt break like most floss. its elastic l;ike, you pull it but it doesnt break. does a great job getting in between your teeth. im never going back to the waxy type of floss this one is a keeper. also a great price and everyone carries it!.
I have very sensitive gums and some types of floss I have used in the past has caused some pain, making it so I did not want to use floss for awhile. But I am happy to report that the Listerine Ultraclean floss did not cause any irritation at all! With it's Micro-Grooves technology it was smooth to the touch and glided through my teeth easily. This floss has a nice, fresh minty flavor that is not overpowering. It is easy to get between teeth, even the ones that are really close together and it did not rip up when put through those tight spots. This is a mono-filament type of floss and since it isn't a fabric, it is much stronger and won't rip or tear. Listerine Ultraclean Dental Floss was formerly Reach Total Care Floss. So those who really liked the Reach Total Care Floss can rest assured that this is the same product, just with a different name. I would definitely recommend to those who have sensitive gums or tight spaces between their teeth. In fact, I would recommend this to everyone who needs a floss to use on a regular basis!
I like the easy open package of this floss. The container itself is a little odd as it's upside down, but the floss still comes out and cuts the same way as any other brand I've ever used. The floss smells minty and tastes good. It's silky, smooth and wide, like a tape, but it's still pretty flexible and doesn't shred. I have some tight spots between a few of my teeth and it does kind of stick in there. It's not uncomfortable, though, and I don't get the feeling that it's going to shred and never come out! My usual brand of floss is very thin, but this wide floss feels like it cleans better. I can swoop down in between the teeth and with one or two wiggles it gets all the nooks and crannies. If you're into dental hygiene and like to have squeaky clean teeth, I would recommend using this floss.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with this Listerine Ultraclean Floss. It's very different from any other floss I've ever used because it reminded me of a small, thin ribbon – instead of a string of floss like I'm typically used to. When I first saw it, I thought for sure that it looked very cheap and was going to instantly break when I tried to use it. However, I was very surprised at how strong it was. It glided easily between my teeth and didn't get stuck at all – which is a problem I've had with other floss products I've tried. I really liked the Mint scent, as it left my mouth feeling minty fresh after flossing. The packaging is very easy to use as well. The lid opens easily, and feels like it stays securely closed. The only complain I have, which isn't really a big deal to me, is that it seemed hard to cut the floss. I don't know that it was really any more difficult than other floss I've used – but that's really the only bad thing I can say about this. I expected it be similar to other floss products, but was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be pretty different from anything I've used before!
I loved the floss but the dispenser was damaged and it would not roll properly. I just cut the length I needed and put the roll back into the container.
I have been using the LISTERINE ULTRACLEAN Mint Floss for a while now. I was not such a big fan in the beginning as I have used PLAIN Floss for 40 years and am fine with how it works. I did not like the stickiness of the LISTERINE ULTRACLEAN Mint Floss, initially, but have become used to it and don't find it much of an issue since I use it at night, at home and just rinse my hands afterwards. I do feel like the wider tape does a better job of getting between the teeth clean and I do like the Mint flavor. I have also use Listerine for many years, so it does combine both elements which might be important to some folks. I still use Listerine as my final step in my oral hygiene regimen. Overall, a good product that does what it says!
