A while back I tried this product. I wish someone would have told me before I purchased this item that it was "messy" and "oily." I was bright enough to try applying it while standing in my tub. Unfortunately, I was home alone and when I saw the mess it made, I tried washing it off, which became even a bigger mess, since I only had water at the tub -- no soap, no towel. Fortunately, I called my dog (it's true!!!!) and told her to fetch the towel from across the room. She brought it to me so I could step out of the tub (we have a bathroom that is almost fully carpeted). I'm definitely gun-shy since that experience whether it is new and improved or not. I would suggest if you are braver than I am to try this product to apply it very slowly. It seems to take awhile to try and as mentioned it seemed "oily." Also, the color did not seem that realistic.
