I've been loyal to Clinique Moisture Surge for some time now. It's by far my favorite moisturizer. I saw this shopping one day and decided to give it a try. Glad I did because it's just as good. The only difference I can tell is packaging. I'll be saving my money from here on. Definitely recommend it to anyone with skin on the dry side.
I have been using the Clinique version of this and love it, but this equate gel seems exactly the same! Love it and the price. Although, lately, it seems to be very hard to find in my area Walmarts. I wonder if it's being discontinued due to the price drop and lack of availability. I hate to see this one go and go back to Clinique's high priced one. It absorbs very quickly and makes my 48 yr old skin so smooth. Common on Equate! Make more!
My cousin recommended this to me and I'm so glad she did! My skin gets slightly oily on my forehead and chin but the rest of my face is dry. I use acne product daily which result in my skin being tight and flakey. This moisturizer absolutely saved me! I used to use the Ponds moisturizer which was great at keeping my skin hydrated but left me looking greasy and shiny. The equate one left me hydrated and my skin soft without the grease. It does leave a tacky feeling for a while after which I find helps with makeup application. 10/10 LOVE this product!
I love this product. Have been using Clinique products for years. This provides moisture without oily effects. I use year round.
I was very happy to see that Walmart have made their own version of my favorite Clinique moisturizer and was very excited to try it. A few years ago, I had a lengthy connection at the airport and decided to pass the time by trying absolutely EVERY moisturizer in the Duty Free shop, regardless of price. Hands down, my favorite was Clinique Moisture Surge. I liked the texture, the way it absorbed into my skin and the awesome improvement I saw from it during that very next flight. That was probably 13 years ago and being a bit of a product junkie, I have tried most of the new products launched since then. But I still keep coming back to Moisture Surge as being my favorite. At $39, it's really not expensive compared to other brands, but obviously is considerably more than drug store brands. But at $12 for the Equate version, it's a no-brainer. I still had some Moisture Surge left, so I did a side by side comparison with Equate's Moisture Wave. The Moisture Wave is a slightly more watery consistency and it's a slightly lighter pink than the Moisture Surge (another indication of more water) but it still feels great and there is little difference in the results. And at only $12 it's cheap enough to slather on several times a day. Thank you, thank you, thank you Walmart. I have been hoping for this since you launched your first "Clinique equivalent" product a couple of years ago. And I hope you're currently working on an "All About Eyes" equivalent even as I write!!!
I'm definitely one of those people that love to find a great dupes for high end products. The equate moisture wave is definitely a great product for an everyday moisturizer. I have been using m.s for many years and I have to say it is different. The overall feel is similar but I can definitely feel a difference when the moisture wave touches my skin. It does have a little bit of a stickier feel which I'm not a fan of. I do also have some dry patches that can be sensitive and the moisture wave burned a little bit when I applied the product. Those are just some examples that I've found while using it, so I may just stick with my moisture surge and hope to find a better dupe! I definitely don't want to discourage anyone from purchasing this product, because like I said it's a great moistizer over all just not for me. And it was $5 at my Walmart! ;) I hope this was helpful!
