Old school technology wins hands down. Nothing is more frustrating for a woman or a man trying hard to lose weight, than to get on the scale to check their progress and minutes later check it again for confirmation and have a different reading than the first. That was the scenario experienced with the best of digital bathroom scales. So, to keep peace in the household, we bit the bullet and went old school with the purchase of this physicians scale. Eccentric maybe, but well worth the money. Easy setup, user friendly and consistent.
None of the fancy bells and whistles that are questionable anyway...just good old reliable accuracy. That's why you never see anything else at your doctor's office! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
The scale was fairly easy to assemble and is very accurate. It does take up a fair amount of room, so you need to take that into consideration when purchasing it. So far, a pretty good value for the money. We bought it because the weight is consistant each time you weigh yourself unlike other floor modal scales.
I HAD REG SCALES AND DIGITAL SCALES,ALWAYS HAD PROBLEMS WITH YHEM, BUT THIS TYPE OF SCALE IS THE BEST, IT GIVES YOUR TRUE WEIGHT ALL THE TIME JUST LIKE IN THE DOCTORS OFFICE.
Bought this scale because at eye level it is easier to read . There is a difference of 4 ibs between this and the floor bathroom scale I had been using, but I think it's more accurate. It is closer to readings in my doctor's office. It is heavy and does have to be assembled, but that was no problem for the handy person to do. My one concern was that the platform is a little shaky to stand on, but I noticed that is true of my doctor's scale too. With a little caution it is no problem.
This is exactly what I wanted. My other scale was off by 6 pounds compared to the doctor's office. Now we agree.
Beam was defective. Had a bow in it. I called the company. Only option was to return to a store less the freight. Have to order another scale. It will be from someone else.
