This ruler will never splinter or break under pressure. If you're looking for a one time buy ruler, that will last you lifetime, this is the one. Perfect for a class of kids that are hard on wood and plastic rulers. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I really like the ruler!! Has both standard and centimeters, easily readable! It's fantastic for the smaller jobs, lays flat and stays, with no worries of a tape measure falling over (losing the 'mark' spot) or suddenly retracting itself...for no apparent reason!! It lived on my crafting table for most of its life, but ended up in my go bag for work. That was a mistake, because the first day someone tried to use it as a pry bar. I ordered another one immediately. It will stay on the crafting table.
This is seriously the best ruler ever. I've used mine for years, and now my office mates are trying to steal it from me. So I went to Target to purchase a few more, and was disappointed to find they don't sell it. And now it looks like Westcott is discontinuing! I can honestly say that this exact ruler is my alltime favorite office supply, and that says a lot coming from me. PLEASE don't discontinue these!!
