Use the ball in one of the chair frames, unfortunately, a cat thought it would be a good idea to jump on the chair and I had to replace the claw punctured ball.
i purchased this ball to do some pregnancy yoga ball workouts. so far its been fantastic, especially great for stretching out the lower back. really happy to find a safe ball without the toxic chemicals. also happy to be able to support a conscious minded company with quality products. since i cannot do the workout video during pregnancy due to a lot of the stretches, it will be great for post pregnancy! very pleased with my purchase.
This is the second Balance Ball I have purchased from Gaiam. The first one was a bit too large. The sizes are a bit confusing, but now I have the small size and it is fine for my needs. The quality is excellent. I asked a friend to blow it up for me, because I was a bit nervous, but he did it in less than 5 minutes and the pressure has held well.
I chose this balance ball due to the fact that it did not contain any toxic chemicals. It was simple to inflate (with the enclosed pump). My kids and I have been using it for over 2 weeks and it works great! I cannot comment on the DVD since I have not yet opened it up.
Dear Gaiam CS, I have been using the ball for the past two weeks at my office. I underestimated the comfort and the mobility of the ball. I was in (2) two car accidents a year and half apart. After the second accident, I bulged every disc in my back and neck. Today's office chairs that would be able to sustain my weight and height are too expensive for my office and so I resorted to a memory-foam padding that helped but didn't bring me the comfort as the ball has done in the last two weeks. I have replace my office chair with the ball and when I try to sit in my chair, it just doesn't feel right. A co-worker was impressed by me statement that the ball was more comfortable then the chair so he purchased one from your site earlier this week. I never write reviews on products to praise them but if this is read by someone suffering back issues and has difficulty with sitting for a long period of time, I would like to tell them that this is a great alternative and hope they find the comfort with the ball as much as I have. The ball also breaks me of bad sitting habits as putting my feet underneath my chair or crossing my legs in the chair. These actions are hard on the hips and I can feel a great difference with the ball. The first week I had a bit of getting use too, but I can't sit on a chair without thinking I should have my ball instead. Thank you again Best regards, Aaron T. Spears
I am not new to balance balls, but I prefer to buy from environmentally responsible companies, and Gaiam is just that. As I am tall, this ball is exactly right for me. Excellent construction also, as some are not as well made. I use it for core strength (bad back), and also to sit on at the computer (by itself, no ball chair).
I like the balance ball. I have one in my office and one at home. However the pump that came with the most recent order was hard to use. The earlier pump design was better.
I bought a ball about 2 months ago and it got a hole right away. The amazing customer service in Colorado helped me out and got me this as a replacement. It's much thicker and seems like it'll hold for much longer. Thanks!
Our primary reason for purchasing the stability ball was core training. The DVD exercises are -- to say the least -- too challenging for aging knees, bad backs and overweight senior citizens. The stability ball is helpful for a set of exercises I found on line for those of us who cannot hope to do the exercises on the DVD.
I have been using a Gaiam ball as my office chair for several years and love it. I ordered another for a second desk but this one is flimsy material and nothing at all like the first. Have to way overinflate it to achieve the same sitting height. So sad to see a good product be cheapened so badly. I will not buy again from Gaiam.
