I had my first Victor 1228-2 for 12 years before it started acting funny. I work in a construction trailer, so perhaps the dust and such go to it. The only time I had a problem was a few years back and Victor took care of it right away. This is a great printing calculator!
The only draw back is the display does not light up. Yes you can read the numbers if you are in proper light. Price was very good but display was very bad.
