Great sound! Works and sounds like a real guitar! Great price, too! We just got it, but so far, my 5 year-old loves it!
Lived up to my expectations. My 7 year old son loves playing it! instructions are pretty clear for doing uploads of other music(what I've read so far). Very pleased with this purchase!
My son(11) loves it. There are invisible strings but once u play over the strings it plays as if u had a real guitar and real guitar strings present. My son thought that was very cool. You don't have to worry about kids trying to rip the strings off. It requires 2AA batteries to play alone. My son took it outside and played it all day. I haven't plugged it into my computer or downloaded more songs yet. I got it at a great deal for $10.00 w/free ship to store so I'm very pleased because it costed alot more in the store.
I purchashed the guitar, drums, amplifier for my grandson and the mic for my grandaugther whom are 13 and 10 years old. I had only seen commercials befor the purchase, but I was very pleased to see that all of these insturments work very much like the actual real instruments. The children downloaded some songs and were gone playing music and singing. Very cool and inexpensive gift for kids who think they may want to play musical instruments but are not sure.
It is fun for adults to use too. We goof around and make youtube videos using Paper Jamz stuff. If a professional guitar player can use this guitar and have a good time so can anyone. If you only limit yourself to actual instruments you limit your creativity. See it for what it is. You can learn to play some tunes and have a good time instead of sitting in front of a screen all day.
This toy guitar does not have strings, so there is no individual musical play or strumming. There are demo modes & tunes it plays. I searched the description, the picture zoom & reviews, it seems as though it has strings but they are merely printed on the cheap exterior. I did Site to Store, so I promptly gave it right back. I can't see how this toy would last 5 minutes, before it's destruction.
