Cuts really well but the ruler part that holds the paper down is hard to open and close you need strength to be able to open an close it. And the ruler on the board is hard to see as it is not in a color that stands out.
GREAT PRODUCT AND GREAT VALUE FOR THE PRICE. SURPRISED WHEN I SAW HOW BIG IT WAS. ALSO, OTHER PLACES COST MORE FOR THE CUTTER WITHOUT MEASURING GRAPH THAT WAS ATTACHED TO THIS ITEM. PLUS A SCORING ITEM WAS INCLUDED WITH THE CUTTER. LOW COST FOR SUCH A GOOD VALUE!!!
This trimmer did a great job until it came time to replace the blade. I cannot find one at any store near me that sells Cricut products. I say just get the Fiskars.
This is the best cutter, I love it, durable, blades easy and cheap to replace, long lasting. Love green color. Made many a beautiful pages. Wouldn't use any other.
It was a welcome surprise to note that it came with 1 cutting blade and 1 scoring blade. I thought this paper trimmer came with two cutting blades. I should read the description carefully from now on. I use this item almost everyday.
I really like the cricut trimmer . I will use it for scoring cards so it really meets my needs. I can find replacement blades at Michaels.
I bought this trimmer to trim down some photos so I could make a collage. It's great. It does exactly what I want it to do. I've cut about 100+ photos so far. You can also use this with card stock. Great for the price.
The price was good, however it was not nearly as strong, well made, sturdy and sharp even cutting as my old Fiskar. I got the other one over ten years ago and could not find replacement blades, so I tried the cricut paper trimming. It leaves somewhat ragged ends at times on just regular printer paper. It is very light and I don't think it would take much for it to break. For the price it is good, I guess if something is cheap....well...it is cheap!
The blade was dull after two pages of scrapbooking. I'm not sure where to get replacement blades, but I don't think I even want to bother. I bought this product because it was cheap, but you get what you pay for. I definitely don't recommend this for cutting photos, as the plastic on the blade runner thing actually scratches the photo near the cut. I do still use this product, but I don't use the blade. I simply put the paper in like I would normally and then run an X-acto knife down the groove to cut the paper. It works fine that way for those of us who can't afford those expensive cutters.
This little tool is just awful! it does not cut straight. The blade wobbles all over the place and cuts can deviate up to 1/8"!! I had wavy, shredded paper edges like it was cut by a child with scissors! I would not recommend. However, the scoring tool works well. Go figure!
