Then you can secure it around any object like a table leg so that your hardware is safe. You need to reset the lock when you first get it, but the instructions are easy to follow. I have been using this to lock up my laptop while at work and I love how quick I can set the combination lock. It fits my Dell laptop perfectly and the cable is long enough to wrap it around my desk leg. The quality of the lock is really nice. I can see this lasting for years to come! I would definitely recommend this lock for anyone with a newer laptop that wants to lock it up and protect it. It can be locked to an piece of furniture like a desk or a bed frame.
