Love my new machine. I am new at this craft and can't get enough of it. Impressed with the features and quality of work.
My husband and I are retired and enjoy sewing and making one of a kind things. We looked at and researched lots of embroidery machines by other companies before buying this Brother PE700II from Wal Mart. It has all the features we were looking for and also at a great price. We love the 5x7 field, touch screen and the automatic needle threader works every time. Another thing we like is being able to buy the Coats and Clark bobbin and embroidery thread at Wal Mart and find it works great on this machine. Getting our machine shipped from site to store free was another plus. If you want a nice machine for a good price you will be VERY HAPPY with this model.
I purchased this machine online and taught myself how to use it. There are lots of FaceBook groups and YouTube videos to help you learn. I love the 5x7 hoop size and have purchased, but not yet used, the re-positional hoop for this machine.The only drawback that I have found is that the screen is small and it is sometimes difficult to see what you are embroidering. I love the needle threader. It is easy to use. The stitchouts are great and I have encountered very few problems that I was not able to easily troubleshoot and fix.
This is a great little machine. It takes both a card and connects to the computer with a USB cable. Has a large 5x7 embroidery field. You can enlarge, reduce or reposition designs. Is an easy machine to use and I like the size which makes it easy to transport. Would highly recommend this machine for those who want an embroidery only machine.
I bought this machine when I was recovering from back surgery and couldn't return to work. I didn't even read the manual (until I had to) and was embroidering in no time. That was in October of 2013. I still have this machine and have purchased six others along the way, trading up to fancier models. NONE of the other thread the needle as well as the Brother. Yes, I can make larger embroideries with more expensive machines, but the the quality of the stitches and the ease of the use will ensure the Brother PE-700II is a keeper.
This is a great machine for the beginning embroiderer. Easy to learn and use and hooks to the computer easily making downloads a breeze. So glad I got this machine and have put it to good use!
I upgraded from the Disney Brother Machine so that I could use the USB cord to download patterns. It is wonderful. The Card still can be used from the other machine (if I can get it back from my daughter-in-law who has the Disney Machine). I am very happy with the bigger hoop size. You need to buy "M' size pre-wound bobbins, but the man at the Brother distributor store gave me a little adapter that fits in the bobbin hole to bring the "L" bobbins up a little so the machine thinks they are "M" bobbins. I am having so much fun. No interest for 1 year on Walmart Card - such a deal and site-to-store shipping...how can you miss. Here is a little wall hanging that I made. Also turned a $12 Walmart shirt & T into a $50 designer match.
I had this machine given to me because the other person couldn't get it to work for her. Well with a little help from customer Service , I got it working and it's so much fun to use this machine ....
I have had my PE700II for almost a year now and I love it!!! I wouldnt trade it for anything! I am actually trying to talk my hubby into another one so I can get more done at once!! Thank you so much for making this machine!!
This is my second embroidery machine. An upgrade from the SE270D. Both machine's do beautiful work. You just have learn what they like and don't like. I use Maderia thread with both. Just a hint for someone. I had a few problems at first and was told not to use the pre-wound bobbins, I stopped and the problems went away.
