My 7 month old grandson doen't know how to make this toy work as intended. He just knows if he slaps it with his hand it makes music with people sounding song singing. It's usually front side to the ground so he hasn't even seen the flashing light yet.He played with this toy nonstop for over an hour the firse time.
My 17-month-old son loves this toy. He loves pushing the buttons to make the "CD" spin. The best part for mommy is that the lowest volume setting is actually low! You know how most toys have loud and louder as the volume levels, not so with this toy! This means that my boy can play with his CD player in the same room with mommy listening to her talk radio!
We saw this toy in Walmart about 2 months ago, and my son has been wanting it so bad, but since he gets a toy everytime we go in there is very little he doesn't have, so when we saw this we knew we wanted to wait until christmas b/c we didn't know if we could find him very many things that he would actually enjoy since he has EVERYTHING lol. But we had our christmas early b/c my husband is in the army and is about to go overseas and he wanted to be able to see them play with their stuff before he left, he's had it for 4 days now and loves it so much, but it doesn't get as much play time as it would have if he'd only got one thing instead of all the toys he got for christmas, but i'm sure he'll still enjoy it after the new has run out on the others. He's been playing with it on our trips to walmart for 2 months and still enjoys it.
Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Nursery Rhymes CD Player made my little Grandson's Christmas. When he opened it his eyes lit up and he immediately went to pressing the cute little nose and all of the buttons. We liked it because it was easy for him to grab and carry around.
My son is 18 mos old & really enjoys this. I also purchased See n Say on the farm and he prefers this one MUCH more. Each time the 'nose' is pressed this cool whirring sound goes (my son loves this) as the 'cd' spins before it stops on an animal picture. The animal name is said clearly then a tune plays corresponding to the animal. The 3 buttons on top when pushed light up and play the animal name, sound it makes and replays the tune. It has 2 sound levels which is also helpful.
Fun toy, for a while. But three weeks after we bought it, it quit working! The "CD" will not spin and everytime you push the button it sings the song for dog.
my husband and i bought this idea for my first daughter who just loved it. it was her favorite toy till one good drop and the thing stopped working. i thought it was just hit worse than i thought. we bought another with our second child, and again the center piece stopped spinning within a month without being dropped or hit. loved the toy, hated the durability!! not worth buying when it won't last!!!
My daughter got this for christmas. I actually picked it out for her. It's horrible for one you can barely hear the sound(which most of the time is a pleasant surprise) which takes away from the purpose of this toy. For two 8 out of 10 times when you push the button the toy makes this horrible noise which scares my child and it doesn't move to the next animal it sticks constantly!! DON"T waste your $$ like I did!
My daughter loved this when she first got it, but as some others have found one drop and it quit working. I guess I figure a toy made for toddlers should have a little more durability.
I ordered this toy off Walmart.com so I didn't test it out first. I bought it for my 1 year old because he likes to dance to music. The sounds/music is barely audible so my son isn't even interested in playing with it. I thought maybe it needed new batteries, but that did not fix the problem. At the store I tested a few others of the same product and they were all the same...very quite and can barely hear the music, so I know mine isn't defective. I would not recommend this product.
