This Echelon Elliptical is very nice. It gives the higher priced versions a good run. Ton's of screws and took a good two hours to put it all together -- worth it. This bike has been an absolute hit in our home and don't foresee that changing. Easy to use and incorporate into whatever your exercise needs and routines are-- all from home. We will have this bike for a good long time. Highly recommend.
Focusing on the machine itself, it is fantastic. The Elliptical is heavy duty and sturdy. It had a 104lb shipping weight so you may need assistance getting it in if you do not have a little dolly. It does not shake or make any noise while in operation. I love that it is quiet. Great for watching TV while exercising. It does not require electricity to use. The electronic part takes AAA batteries (Included) and is simple. Nothing special here but it tracks your progress. The tension is created by magnet and has eight levels. In the very beginning, when I first used the machine, I did not notice a difference in the tension levels. But after testing the machine further, there was a big difference – so be sure to give it a good test run before worrying about the tension. Building this Elliptical – I enjoy that the directions have an image in color for each step. What would really help is if more space was dedicated to each direction / picture, so that a larger image including more of the machine could be included. A few times, just a zoomed out picture showing the area in question would have helped a lot. I kept referencing the full image on the product box. The instructions can be a little confusing but are mostly straightforward. The time is mostly spent connecting pieces 100% perfectly – because if you do not line it up perfectly, it is not going to go together. I think this is a testament to the product's sturdiness, but such a pain for the build. I put this together in a little over three hours. In my case, most of the washers were lost in shipping. The box arrived with several large holes. This is not the product's fault and I do not hold it against the company. I was able to replace the washers and build the elliptical.
I absolutely enjoy this machine! I've never used one before and this one is more than I expected. I recommend starting off slow steady and light. You will those muscles the next day! This has been great to use on rainy days and added to my exercise routine. Fits great in my room along with my king size bed. There was some damage on the silver wheel looking thing but it is not create a problem when in use. It's smooth and great!
The instructions to put it together were pretty easy to understand, such as what piece goes to what. HOWEVER, keep in mind when you are putting it together to face the front as you're putting it together, or else you will end up putting a piece in the wrong place. I had to constantly look at the large picture on the box to figure out how the handles go because I was facing the back of the elliptical. I also advise that it will be very difficult to put together by yourself, it will take two or more people. Now, as far as using it and performing, it works really well and in less than five minutes I feel the burn throughout my whole body lol. The wheels make it easier to move around the house when I'm ready to use it (though it is pretty heavy), and the tracker keeps track of progress.
This is a great addition to any home gym. A great peice of equipment for beginners. Very easy to use. Pay close attention to the L and R when assembling and take your time. Wasn't hard to put together when you followed directions closely. It's very easy on the knees and tracks your time and distance. You can hold onto the center or the arms. Even my 5 year old can get on and use this elliptical with no issues.
This eliptical was delivered to our house, which made it easy on the transportation because it's heavy. We took the box apart and took the individual pieces to the basement where it's setup. The install took an hour and went together well with instructions given perfectly. Very impressed with it overall and price was right. Makes a great improvement for your home gym... Definitely recommended.
Excellent quality and materials used. Assembly took Me a few minutes but i was able to do it alone. Was excited to hop on and it worked Flawlessly. I did a minute on each level and felt the burn after but very pleased with this product. Truly a top notch machine and didn't take up as much space as i thought initially. It also comes with a 90 day membership. Definitely one of the best pieces of exercise equipment i own. Highly recommend for all ages 10+ as my son is 10 and uses it.
This here is great! I was a little scared when I took all the parts out the box…but thankful my dad put it together but whewww it took some time! Now that's it's together it's amazing! I now have no excuse not to work out! It doesn't take up a lot of space! I do wish it had an actually screen or something that I can workout with but still good!
So this is a pretty good exercise facilitator. Simple and to the point it will get legs feeling the pain and calories burning. It has a simple display that keeps track of speed, distance, and estimated calories burned. It is heavy as is to be expected with the wheel mainly being the brunt of the weight. It was packaged fairly good although there was a little bit of damage on some plastic by where they middle handlebar goes. Assembly could have been a lil better, the hardware doesn't have perforations to open so once you open one it can be hard to tell what's what. There is a breakdown in the manual of the hardware and its layout but it's pretty small font size so I had a hard time reading. Putting the hardware and parts together was easy tho. The highest resistance feels like it could be a little better and more resistant. All ali all a great piece of equipment to exercise with.
My 14 year old son put this together for me, took him about an hour. He's good at putting things together and can even just look at a picture and put things together. The box is heavy, took my husband and son to lift and carry to the basement. my box arrived with damage but the only thing damaged which wasn't even exposed through the box was the flywheel. Small nicks, see pictures. Nothing crazy. This elliptical can be used without the subscription as it does have a little timer/tracker although I question how accurate the calorie counter is. It said I had only burned 2.0 calories after 10 minutes. I have a Fitbit versa and that said I burned 94 calories after 10 minutes. Idk if there's something I'm missing but I won't use the tracker for calorie counting, I will just use my Fitbit as that seems more accurate. Moving on, I love this elliptical for the money. The resistance works great, the machine is light and easy to use, easy to move. I will be signing up for the membership down the road as I have the echelon row machine that I can't use without the subscription but because the fee is charged in a lump sum of 699$year, I can't just do that right now. Overall good machine, Yes, buy it!
