We bought this house for our daughter for Christmas last year, she was three.... It was the best money we spent... She has loved this house... We have a playroom so it has been inside.... I think she has played in it everyday.... Very sturdy and nice for the price... We priced some of the other playhouses and almost bought one that was 269.00, but for the difference in the money this is a great buy.... I think she plays in it just as much as she would have the other one... She also likes to watch movies while she is in the house, she wouldn't be able to do that in the other playhouses..
My 2 year old loves her new house! She really likes the door bell and the phone. She will sit at the table and eat lunch. I really like that it has a floor so it won't be a mud floor when on the ground.
So glad I bought this! Great Product For the Price! Will Last A long Time and she will be able to play with this for years to come! Wish the Doorbell was A little louder as you can barley hear it.. But overall a great buy!
We've had the Playhouse for over a month. It's very sturdy and was put together very easily. My 3 yr old granddaughter invites us to "her house." She rings the doorbell each time she enters the door! We'll see how long before she outgrows it.
I just bought this playhouse on clearance and I really got a good deal! I put it together in less than an hour (a power drill really speeds up the process!). My 16 month old son really likes it. He enjoys sitting on the built-in seats and eating his snacks at the table. The only thing that I can see so far that I wish was different is, the sink/table area is very small and I wish the sink wasn't even on there so it could all be table space. My son doesn't seem to mind. I put a bath mat inside to catch crumbs from his snack and spilled juice. I'm keeping this inside, but if you were to take it outside, you might consider putting outdoor carpet in it to add a little cushion (the floor is nice, but hard). The appearance is very cute, the colors go great with my home! The doorbell isn't very loud, which is a plus to me! Overall, I think this is a very nice playhouse and will have a great re-sale value once your child is too big for it. Step 2 is well known for having sturdy, appealing and fun toys!
We picked up the playhouse from the store. It was sent in a timely manner. It was easy for my son-in-law to put together and my granddaughter just loved it! She enjoys ringing the bell, talking on the phone and she had her snack inside the very first day! She's 2, by the way. I think she and her little sister will have many years of fun in this playhouse.
I am a foster parent and so I never know how long I will have the children. I had looked at several playhouses but didn't want to spend a lot of money for this reason. I Came across this Playhouse, ordered it & the girls love it (ages 4, 2 & 1).
I recently purchased this playhouse for my 2 1/2 year old son. I thought it would be a bit bigger, but I'm not a toddler, so it's probably huge to him. The plastic is very durable and my husband put it together in no time at all. My son LOVES it. There's a little sink in there w/ faucet, 2 little seats on either side of the sink, a phone on the wall that makes noise, a mail slot and a doorbell (you'll need batteries). It's easily movable - outside for nice days - inside for chilly days. The roof peaks on the inside, so there appears to be even more room when he is inside. I'm guessing he'll be able to play in here for a year or more before he becomes too tall. I'm not sure it's really worth $135, but overall I think it's an excellent purchase, and it was quickly delivered right to my door...that made it worth it. Thanks Sam's!!
This is my second cottage. I have 4 grandchildren who have enjoyed playing for hours and hours . My 2 thru 4 years old grandchildren cook wash dishes, eat their meals and clean their cottage daily. Love seeing them play make believe. Great construction about 45 minutes of assembly time Power tools made for the fast assembly.
My 2 yo son got this playhouse last summer (so when he was 1 1/2), and has really enjoyed it. It has two little molded seats inside next to the sink/table. He loves opening the shutters to play peek-a-boo and ringing the doorbell. The mail slot has also been fun. He loved the phone, but it either got wet or got dropped on the concrete one too many times and no longer works. We also put a mini play kitchen inside. I like that it is very open so that I can always see what he's up to. One of the main reasons why I bought this one (other than the price - it's one of the least expensive ones available) was that it had a solid floor in it. I thought that would be a major plus, but it has turned out to be not all that great. The floor itself is fine and sturdy, but it makes it hard to clean out the inside. I sweep it out with my son's toy broom. If you spray it with water, it can be a little difficult to get all the water out. There are a few drain holes, but I think it would be easier to clean without the floor. We keep it on our concrete patio, though, so if you are planning to keep it in the grass, I'm sure the floor will be very helpful. The only other drawback to it is that it is a little on the short side. My son's 4 yo friends barely fit through the doorway without ducking their heads. Once inside, they have enough head room, though. If your child is already 3 or 4 years old, I would consider getting a bigger playhouse. It has been great for us, though, and is very sturdy -- a solid Step2 product. It was fairly easy to assemble. My husband did it with minimal assistance in about 1 hour.
