After reading lots of reviews we bought this playhouse for our daughter's 4th birthday. She is very tall for her age and it was hard to find one that would fit her. It was relatively easy to put together (about 1.25 hours). As stated in other reviews, the fountain is very loud. If the batteries run out, it will be a pain to replace them. With shipping, we spent about $350.00 but we hope to use the house for years to come. It is very adorable and will allow her to be creative for a long time.
Love this little house. I have three children (4, 3 and 6 months) and I know we will get lots of use out of it over the next few years. My two sons love to pretend they are working a restaurant and give me pretend food out the window. Doorbell and fountain are very cute. Easy to put together and not too big and not too small. I would recommend this to anyone with young children.
My 3 year old daughter got it for her birthday and loved it! My 6 year old son loved this house no less. They spent hours playing in it already and it has only been a week. I have it set up inside for now, but plan on moving it to the backyard in the summer. The fountain has not been used yet since the house is in doors. We had a bunch of relatives over for Xmas and all the cousins loved to play in the house.
When my daughter recieved this Christmas morning she was speechless. She is 2 years old and loves playing in the house and pushing the doorbell. my 5 year old son also loves it. although he climbs in the windows instead of using the door-but that is a boy for you. We love the playhouse!!!!
We put the house together in 45 minutes tops! Easy assembly! The kids love it and my 3 year old has plenty of room to grow. He doesnt have to duck his head to get in. Most others he has played wtih he had to watch his head. I researched several playhouses before deciding on this one. It was the tallest one I could find. We wanted something that the kids could use for a long time. My 3 yr old and 1 yr old love it!!!!! And room for me to play inside with them. Definately recommend.
Quality as pictured. According to Dad not too hard to put together. Big enough for both children. Came sooner than promised. At one point water pump would not turn off but seems ok now. Hope it stays that way, but I know from other reviews I read before purchasing that the pump has been a problem with this product.
The playhouse is tall enough for my 5 year old to stand, however it isn't very wide. Only two chairs fit with the girls in it. My 2 year old loves the door bell, while my 5 year old likes to play with the fountain.
My son got this playhouse for his 3rd birthday from his Grandparents and Aunt. He loves it, and it was easy to asemble. However, there is no "secret door" as described, this was one of the reasons we purchased this playhouse and we were dissapointed to discover that the door was not there. We are going to call Step2 during the week to see what is going on, but from another site I read that they no longer have the secret door. So, just a warning if you order it based on the product details on Walmart there is no secret door. Other than that it is a wonderful, roomy and fun playhouse!
I've never written a review for any product before but the reviews others had written about this playhouse were so helpful in choosing this one over the many other playhouses I looked at. This was a birthday present for my 3 year old granddaughter and she absolutely loves it! I would have gladly given it an overall 5 star rating except for the noisy pump on its fountain which other reviewers had complained about so I was expecting it. The fountain is so cute, works well, easy to operate and the noise doesn't bother her. The house is big enough for 2 or 3 little ones or one child and a small adult; I'm 5 ft. tall and and cannot stand completely erect. We've had the product for 2 weeks now on our screened-in porch so she could play even in rainy weather. My husband put it together by himself w/ very little complaining in a little over an hour and a half. This winter we'll move it to the basement and though it's heavy it comes apart into 2 pieces pretty easily I think. There's a lot of attention to detail to this playhouse and all of us are very happy with it.
This fountain is faulty. It worked for about 5 minutes then seezed and broke. I sent it back and recieved another. This one also broke. This feature is very cute and the primary reason we purchased this particular playhouse. For it not to work is frustrating.
