I bought this for my 2 year old for her birthday. Her and her 4 year old sister have played with it everyday. Even our 7 year old neighbor likes it. I was surprised it keeps them as busy as it does. they have brought other toys into it, other than the ones tha came with it. Clean up is simple and when they are done playing, it looks neat and simple and can be left out. Perfect summer toy and does wonders for kids who love sensory toys!
I got this for my son's first birthday. It is fun for him and his older brothers love it too. It was the perfect outdoor toy we needed for summer fun.
I did quite a bit of research before making the purchase I did, this new Step 2 leg set has fixed all of the prior errors. This also steps up in height as well so you don't feel you are making a purchase to make another in 2 years. the product has 1 flaw when it comes to the design, the ramps seem to fall easily while "driving" over them, the boats are cute and the pots seem to lead to "planting" random grass, flowers, and leaves found in the yard. It has been fun for the 2 to 8 year olds for well over 2 hours, and I love the umbrella.
I purchased this sand box to keep my 2 1/2 yr old boy out of the dirt in our backyard and I must say it has 95% worked. He LOVES it, he even pushes his hotwheels down the curves. It keeps him entertained for atleast a good 2 hrs. The thing I love about it is that the cover proctection is plus, I'm glad I chose one with a cover, since a family friend mentioned later "keep the cover on overnight" so the stray cats don't use it as a litter box! LOL I would recommend this product for any child..boy or girl!
Messy mud table more like it. I do have to believe it's my toddlers fault though. She ♥'s it so it's fine with me. You just can't argue with those awesome smiles that come from the perfect mess making this table provides lol. It's a great buy, we got ours in a combo pack with the swing set, so it was even better that way too.
I bought this for my son, who was constantly playing in my flower pots and beds. It was a great buy for him! When I first put it together (very easy assembly which only took about 10mins), I only added sand because the weather hadn't really warmed up here in Colorado for him to be getting wet. He loved it, the toys that came with it were ok too. I love the fact that it grows with the kids so that they aren't having to hunch over as they get older. I have purchased several of these mass produced plastic molded toys and this one seems to be well designed and plastic pieces well formed. There is not any mis-aligned pieces, missing pieces, and the directions-if you need them- work well.
My kids ages 2 and 4 LOVE this table! It's just the right height for them too. I bought 2 bags of sand for it, but only needed 1/2 bag. A gallon jug of water fills up the water side enough and it drains easily when done. I drain it nightly after they play. I would definitely recommend this as an alternative to a sandox!
I just got this 2 in one sand/water toy for my 2 1/2 your old son. He had played with it for over an hour today before he got tired of it. Pros: *Great activity for out side. *The umbrella does help keep the sun off the child, but it needs something to hold it more up in the air, as the pole is way to short. *good thing it has the added leg adjustment, really useful. Cons: *Wish the umbrella had a longer poll as you need to have something keep it at a reasonable height, other wise your kid will be hitting his head under it. Also wish the umbrella was wider, its a bit to small. * You deff need to use the long legs, because the short ones are to small, without it. * wish the water and sand area was a bit wider and deeper, but it does do the job
I ordered this for my 3 year old daughter for Christmas. The table allows 2 different heights and my daughter uses the highest setting. It seems sturdy enough, you definitely need a drill to put it together as a screwdriver won't be enough. I purchased this item instead of a sandbox thinking that it would be less clean up (ie. sand in her pants!) than a regular sand box. And she loves to play in water as well, so I thought the combo would be a win-win. Although she loves the table, she made such a mess, she put sand in the water and water in the sand and she threw the sand all over the yard and patio! If your child is anything like mine, you will have to replace the sand often, clean the sand out of the water side after you drain, and sweep if it is on a deck or patio. (It needs a level surface to sit on) Other than that, she loves it and I love that SHE loves it!
I was pleased with this product as far as keeping my 2 year old happy. She has had a blast playing in the sand and water. My concern with this product is the fact that when you put it together the holes for the screws were not even drilled through to keep the legs in place. All that was available was a little dot to mark the spot. Luckily I have a drill on hand that can do the job and the legs will stay in place without the screws as long as you don't lift it.
