This is a "KEEPER"...read others reivews prior to purchasing, so I got it. GLAD I DID !!! The only thing even comparable was one @ Bed Bath and Beyond...and [on sale] it was $80. It does go with my antiques "golds"...except..it may be a tad too "bright" gold for some. I am remedying that situation by tea staining, to mute it some. **BEWARE...all of the reviews whch state it MUST be pressed weren't kidding !!! It arrives HORRIBLY wrinkled...and I hung it up for a week or so and some better. Still MUST be pressed. Other than that...good bargain :}
This bed skirt is wonderful. Looks great, but will definitely need an iron coming out of the package. Nicely weighted fabric. I wanted something thin, but not so thin that it was transparent or looked cheap. Nice gold color, very versatile to pair with a wide variety of looks and colors to mix & match.
This bedskirt looks great and is true to colors pictured. Makes a very nice appearance. I did steam-iron to get wrinkles out from packaging, (as expected with most products), then put it under the mattress. It was easy, and I am very pleased with this purchase.
I recently made drapes and matching bedspread for a male friend of mine. This bed skirt beautifully complimented the narrow gold stripe in the fabric from which the drapes and bedspread were made. This project came in way under budget and he's thrilled with the way his room looks now that it's finished. When I mentioned that I was going to find a "dust ruffle" for him, I think he was afraid that it was going to be a ruffled one...he's more than OK with the tailored look of this one. He loves being able to store things under the bed and the stored items can't be seen.
In a nutshell, well worth the price. Looks luxurious and pricy on the bed. Decent weight fabric, it's bigger than the box spring but I don't know if that's due to my mattress or the bedskirt so I won't blame the product. I had to pin it in place to keep it from dragging on the floor. I like the box pleats, I'm not into ruffles and this was perfect for the bedroom.
