It's been close to 4 years since I last golfed and I use to use a man's steel set [hand-me-down]. Needing an upgrade and wanting something to give my game a refresher without spending a lot, I purchased these. Not bad...takes a little getting used to. My game is about the same, but the graphite is lighter, giving me more stamina.
Encouraged by my golf instructor to upgrade my clubs, but not wanting to spend big bucks this is a GREAT set of intermediate clubs & under $300!!! wow! Since I already had a good putter & bag this is the perfect set! I like that it's still 'girly' without being all pink. The grips are really nice, not just standard grips. Can't wait for the spring weather to break so I can get on the course & not just the driving range. Now maybe I can keep up with my kids on the course :)
I needed a decent set of clubs for my daughter when she decided to join the golf team. These clubs are much better than the low end starter sets you find for in the stores. These are easy to play, light weight with very wide soles which help them glide through the grass without digging in. The driver is huge with 12 degrees of loft but seems to play more like a 15 degree. The wedges make a nice "ding" (bell) sound when chipping which makes for good audible feedback. She is learning the game much more quickly because of the ease of play this set affords. I would recommend these to anyone who is learning the game for the first time or for any player who shoots 90's or higher. Most full sets have 13 clubs without the putter. This set has 11 clubs from sand wedge to driver all well spaced in yardage. There is no need for any other clubs for the players these are made for. Having two less clubs just makes the bag easier for a high school girl to carry. Be advised that there is no putter, headcovers or bag with the set.
