This muffins (blueberry) are so good.
Our family doctor's office is about 30 minutes away from our home. Why do we drive almost a half an hour to see a doc you ask? When we moved here (many years ago) she (our doc) was the only one who agreed to see a screeching 8 year old with an ear infection. Everyone else wanted to quibble about the fact that we had an out of network insurance. There is also (great for me!) a Walmart superstore close by-with everything a sniffle,rumble or ache could want--including these fabulous muffins. When I found out I DID NOT have celiac disease and I could happily end 7 months of a gluten free diet I bought four things--a double cheeseburger,extra large fries and two packages of Walmart Blueberry Muffins. For later. Buying these muffins is a ritual for me--they are superb.I've tried every version of the Walmart Signature muffins--blueberry is my favorite with lemon poppy seed closing in at second.These muffins store so well! You can keep them in the original package and loosely use some foil or plastic wrap as added cover-put them in the fridge,no trouble.These muffins stay moist and delicious without becoming soggy,crumbly or dry. Watch the date on the package because they are fresh (delightfully so!) but I've never had a problem. The price is more then fair for the exceptional muffins you get.Best taste,high quality,best selection--best of the store brand bakeries. Thanks!
I just devoured one of these muffins a few minutes ago. One of THE BEST blueberry muffins I've ever had - blueberry is my favorite kind of muffin. It's the second one I've had from Wal-Mart, and I bought them at two different stores and the recipe seems to be standard. Other brands of muffins can be too oily/sticky on the exterior for me, and too moist on the inside to where it seems under baked. Not these muffins, and there's something about the flavor that is so very blueberry plus a little something else that's hard to nail, almost vanilla-like. SO GOOD.
