This helicopter was a great buy. It doesnt take long to trim it if you read the directions. Countless flights, even if u crash. Foam is durable as well as the blades. When flying inside if u hit a wall the blades fold up to protect them and you just have to fold them back out and fly again.
I bought this to have fun flying in the house. It has worked for me. I used to fly real helicopters. OK, so it's not like the real thing but it is fun. It can be crashed and still work fine. It could use some extra power for the direction control but if you lead it it flys great. My son is getting the Havoc air battle for Christmas. I can't wait to see how they fly for him.
within a day i was able to maneuver anywhere at will and I've never flown anything rc before!!! loooooong run times!!!! about 40min a blast outside with no wind i had it at least 200ft in the air
It took a bit of adjusting and learning how it handles. Once we got it in the air it was pretty fun. Couldn't use it outside, every breeze took it away. You need a lot of space indoors it really fly it around. My 14 yr old son is really good at it, hovering it in place and flying it around the living room.
This is my first RC helicopter. I found it hard to control because it always drifts around. The fore/aft thrusters can control this to some extent but aren't powerful enough to go backwards very well. The counter-rotating rotors seem to produce a 2nd-order torque that makes the 'copter cork-screw even when the shaft torques are balanced (i.e., the copter doesn't rotate in place).
i just got mine and it truely does do whan it says it can do. it is perfect for indoors. i like it so much I might buy another one.
I purchased this for my father, for Christmas. My cousin had one around Thanksgiving and my father and I took a liking to it, although didn't have much time to fly it. It is VERY durable and I have crashed it pretty hard, several times, with not permanent damage. It hovers and lasts a good while too (charge). EVERYTHING is Really cool about this, with the exception that you cannot control it......The boosters on the sides are just not powerful enough and I think the distribution of weight does not allow it to fly. It can only really hover. Someone wrote in another review that you can put something on the front of it (weight) and it will go forward. Maybe we'll try that. I am 27 and my father will be 59 in a couple of months. We are All fascinated by the toy!! I am going to try the smaller one!
I bought this RC heli after looking around. I was displeased, but I was not blown away. While the product is nice. It is still difficult to fly. I bought it for my 11 yr old son. Just as we were getting the hand of it, it needs a charge, or crashes and you have to play with the trim again. Still have not mastered flying the heli. My son broke on of the blades already. To fly it, you need wide open spaces in the house. I like it, but would not recommend it for the $60 cost. It is better than other Heli's that I have seen. But still a little pricey.
I have owned both the Air Hogs Reflex Avenger and the Air Hog Havoc Heli and much prefer the Havoc Heli. First, the Reflex is over double the cost of the Havoc Heli and to me the Havoc Heli is a much better buy. The trim on the Reflex is done manually while is it done through the remote on the Havoc Heli. I had a consistent problem on the Reflex with the motor duying in mid air resulting in a crash every time - so I carried it back and bought the Havoc Heli. Bottom line - buy the Havoc Heli and enjoy.
i have been a love to fly person since i was a kid and i just wanted something i could control easy and fly inside because i already have all that big outdoor fly high quality stuff and this thing brook and was not very good i don't like air hogs but i tried because these are pretty cheap compared to some other ways to get a good plane or helicopter but this just charges way to long and don't fly for long at all if you want something good for cheaper and worth it that works really good for good inside plane/helicopter fun i would recommend the havoc heli but add a metal or lead BB to the front for a little more forwards action.
