got this for my daughters bday, it was the hit toy, after we all finished playing with her she is content playing on her own. Great purchase! (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Always loved this game. It's a Christmas gift for my grandsons
Bought this for my 2 1/2 yr old son. My husband and I play this with him over and over again. We don't play by the rules though, just keep hitting the tab so all the marbles are in play to see who "eats" the most. Great fun and super easy! This was also one of my favorite games as a child. The only problem is once it's assembled it doesn't fit back in the box so we can't put it on the shelf with the other games. Would recommend!
Gave it as a gift and it was a great success right away. The kids and not so young kids loved it!
my only issue is that it needs to be put together, but when put together no longer fits in the box. Other than that, it is basically the game I remember from my own childhood.
Sometimes the press down levers can catch and then the hippos mouth does not open properly or fast enough. This can also be due to the operator. Some kids seem to have no problem...others have trouble.
This version of Hungry Hungry Hippos is made out of cheap plastic and hippos that get stuck and don't open their mouths. After buying this game at Walmart for 17.99 I went online and read reviews and found out that other people had similar complaints about the game. This used to be one of my favorite games when I was little and I wish it was made of higher quality materials so my daughter could enjoy it too. We will be returning this game which is too bad because my daughter was extremely excited to get it.
I loved this game when I was a kid, but boy they don't make 'em like they used to. It's so cheap. It already broke after playing 3 times. Total waste of money.
