I really like the Equate Epson salt for several reasons. First, I am sensitive to smells, and this one has a mild but noticeable scent that is not overpowering like so many fragrances are, these days. I love this particular scent, Shea Butter and Almond oil. Just a subtle scent and smells so good. Also, if you are prone to swelling, for instance from too much salt intake, then soak in this for 20-30 minutes and your swelling will go down... great for bloating, or if you're on your feet too much, like me, and have swollen ankles. For sore muscles, put a couple of cups in your hot bath water and soak, it really does a great job at soothing the pain. I love it for my neck and shoulder pain. I use Epson salt a few times a week in my bathwater, it really does make a huge difference. This is cheaper than the name brands, and it works just as well.
This is a luxurious soak. The smell is absolutely wonderful and lasts throughout the bath. My skin feels nourished and moist and no additional lotion is needed after. The larger crystals dissolve and a good rate keeping you satisfied throughout the whole soak. You get a lot of product in the bag, great value
Equate Epsom Salt Shea Butter and Almond Oil contains Magnesium Sulfate with (Shea) Butter and Sweet Almond oil. The almond oil scent is soft and not overpowering. It feels good on the skin. The shea butter and almond oil left my skin feeling soft. I had been using different types of Epsom salts previously, but my skin has been dry lately, so that is why I wanted to try the shea butter and almond oil. I add two cups of the soaking solution to my bath and soak in the warm water for the recommended 20 minutes. It is a soothing and relaxing experience and I can feel the difference on my skin immediately. It states on the package that it can also be used as a skin exfoliant by mixing 2 tablespoons with your body wash or soap and I think that's a great idea. I just know that after a long day, getting into the bath filled with this Epsom salt mixture with its soothing almond scent, I immediately begin to unwind and relax. I also know that my skin will feel smoother and moisturized as I get back out of the bath. The shea butter and almond oil make all the difference.
My grandchild tried this and said it was very relaxing. She had gotten bit by bugs so was itchy and after soaking in the bath with this Salt she felt relieved from the bug bites and much more relaxed. I mixed it in with my soap for the shower and it's very refreshing. My skin felt clean and it smells nice too. I work in a garden center and right now bugs are bad. The creepy crawly kind like aphids. So this helps me get rid of that creepy crawly feeling on my skin.
I always use Epsom Salt in my tub. My doctor told me that I should for detoxing and cramps in my legs. The minute I opened the bag I was in love with the very gentle smell. It didn't smell artificial like the other brand I typically use. I have a lavender scented from a different brand and it was not as relaxing, by far, as this bag from Equate. I use less than I normally would use. My bathroom now smells fantastic and so do I! My skin feels soft too. I am going to buy this particular Equate Epsom Salt with Shea Butter and Almond from now on.
I finally got to try this scent one night after getting the kids to bed and a particularly rough day at the gym. I love the soft feminine scent. I got my water to the desired heat and poured the fine textured salts into the water. Most of it dissolved pretty quickly, all of it by the end of my 20 minute soak. I got to soothe my aching muscles and also had my skin feeling smooth and smelling amazing.

And I was not disappointed, either! Everything from the heavenly scent to the smooth, moisturizing, silky feel of the Epsom salt bath was a treat from start to finish. The bath was also not drying to my skin because of the shea butter and almond oil extracts in the mix. I was tired and had sore aching muscles before the bath - but not afterwards! As you likely know, Epsom salts are magnesium sulfate. Using Epsom salts is like creating your own little mineral bath - like a hot springs - in your own home. Your skin soaks in the magnesium and it relaxes the stress of the day right away. For your own personal spa at a very reasonable price, these scented Epsom salts just can't be beat!
I use epsom salts on a regular basis, so I was eager to give this one a try. In my opinion, this product doesn't smell like shea butter or almond oil. Instead, the smell is somewhat floral — it reminds me of a cherry blossom scented product that I used in the past. If you like floral scents though, this epsom salt can double as a fragrance — the scent stays on your skin for hours! This product is also lightly moisturizing. Light enough to not feel greasy afterwards, but just enough to make your skin feel comfortable. I soak in epsom salts once a week as part of an acne treatment regimen: * Witch hazel applied after bathing to all acne prone areas * African black soap (every day or every other day) * Epsom salt bath soak for 20-30 minutes once or twice a week Fun fact: I've also used epsom salt soaks to treat headaches — seems to help 50% of the time! Note: Don't get your hair wet with epsom salt bath water — epsom salt will make your hair stiff and straw-like. Great for your skin, not so much for your hair. :) (just noticed the option of using this product as a body scrub -- see picture. I'll have to give it a try!)
Epsom salt equate brand I find the equate brand equivalent to any other brand. It even says to compare it to Dr Teal's Epsom salt soaking solution Magnesium sulfate soaking solution Shea butter and almond oil Supposed to soothe sore, tired muscles while moisturizing and also eases aches and pains. It smells so good! I usually don't take baths, if you're feeling under the weather or you feel sore, ideally you could pour a couple cups in your bath water and soak for 20 minutes. To exfoliate skin you could do two tablespoons, with your favorite body wash or soap and massage it into your skin. I like to exfoliate my feet, they tend to just get callous, because I wear flip-flops all the time. Instead of soaking in the bath, you could use two tablespoons, soak your feet for 10 minutes afterwards exfoliate them, using a pumice stone. If you use epsom salt regularly, I would highly recommend this brand/scent. If you use it occasionally/never, I would highly recommend Trying it as well, adding it to your routine.
with the addition of almond and shea butter, but the scent is overpowering. I'm allergic to most perfumes so the aroma is too strong and I won't be able to use it. For anyone who enjoys strong scents, they will love how much the extra ingredients help the skin.
