I purchased both the Mario and Yoshi for my boys for Christmas, what a find. My boys loved them and are still using them up and down the driveway in June. Gotta say even the dog loves chasing them around the yard and the house.
We bought this for my 7 year old son. He LOVES Mario, so this was a perfect gift for him. Works great, comes with batteries, so he was able to play with it right away. A little over priced, but worth it.
We bought this for my son and didn't have very high expectations. Right out of the box, this item is impressive. We drove it around the house for 20 mins and then charged the battery to test it at the park. You should have seen the line up of people at the park of all ages that wanted to try it and thought it was the coolest thing they had seen. We have been driving it every day for a week and are pretty happy with the purchase. The battery lasts on average about 25 mins of driving time, however it does charge fairly quickly.
The product appears well made, except for one thing, they don't work. I purchased, and returned, three different Mario Carts trying to find one that would work. The first one ran for ten minutes then stopped, so we recharged the battery, reinstalled the battery, and the car would not run at all. I changed the battery in the controller but still no luck. So I returned the car and purchased a second Mario Cart. This time the car ran from our kitchen to family room, stopped and would not start. Once again tried charging the batteries and still no luck. So back to the store and exchanged for a third Mario Cart. It's not that I'm a glutten for punishment, but I've got an 8 year old granddaughter who really really wanted this car to work. Anyway, the third Mario Cart performed the same as the previous two. This time I contacted the manufacturer and explained what was going on. They decided to send me another battery pack and charger, after they tested the battery and charger to make sure they worked. They also told me that if the new battery didn't cure the problem to return the car to the store. A couple days later I received the new battery, installed it, and still nothing. So back to the store, but this time we're not replacing the car. Obviously something is very wrong with this product. There's nothing in the enclosed liturature about syncing the controller to the car, or any other type of adjustments. Just chcarge and install the batteries and go. It, (they) just didn't go. Don't waste your time with this product. You'll just disappoint your child.
