I am always skeptical of store brand dishwasher pods but these surprised me. My dishes come out just as clean as cascade platinum pods and haven't had any problems with the casing dissolving. It's the same clean for less than half the cost.
They do the job! Affordable dish pods that make your dishes come out clean! No complaints at all! Will always repurchase them!
Works as good as the top brands of this type.
i love these! i prefer them to the name brand.
I was using the basic great value pods and tried these with the blue stuff. They work just as well as cascade pods. They get everything clean including dried on food. Do a better job on the dried on food than the basic pods. Worth the extra change from the basics and much cheaper than the name brand.
They work great when you toss them into the bottom of the dishwasher verses using the dispenser. However, the last pack I bought, had several pods stuck together and unusable.
I have some stainless steel pots for have washed by hand for years. I felt lazy one day and decided to throw them in the dishwasher. They came out without food residue but now they have tarnish spots all over the bottom and inside. Those spots weren't there before. I am afraid to ever put them in there again with these pods. These pots have been run in the dishwasher before with Cascade brand pods and this never happened. They do not damage the stainless steel of my dog's food bowls, so it has to do with the type of stainless steel, I am sure, but it's too much for me to risk in the future. Also, they do not remove tea (hot tea) stains from dishes.
I agree that they don't easily dissolve, but I believe it's because the pods are larger than my dishwasher's dispenser for them. My first try, only the blue liquid got used, and I had to soak everything in the sink because the heat of the machine had baked everything on. The powder had become a hard brick. In order to get these pods to work properly, I had to carefully use scissors to snip the liquid part from the powder part of the pod, without poking a hole into either side. If I don't separate them, the plastic will get caught in the dispenser lid and not let go when the dispenser pops open, meaning the pod just dangles while everything else goes about its business. I should note, I use a portable dishwasher and not a full-sized one. Don't know if the dispensers are the same size in a full-sized one.
Packaging states to compare with Cascade Platinum. There is no comparison. Leaves behind some soap residue as others have commented. It does seem to clean smaller loads but fails on anything more. Pods bust easily so be careful. For the price they are ok but don't hold up to name brands.
gave 1 because zero wasnt an option. used 3 paks. multiple dirty dishes and silverware after the wash. tried it with half a load, same results. also, they dont dissolve
