We purchased this piece of luggage for my daughter to travel to Europe with. It hasn't made the trip yet, but it has been checked out by the family already! It seems sturdy, well built, and the expandable feature is top notch. Handy little compartments, some detachable, on divider is a great feature. Zippered inner lining. Handle seems strong. We like everything about it so far!
You might think when you look at this; OMG, it's orange! Not just orange, it's rusty-nail-gotta-get-a-Tetanus-shot orange. And you shudder to think of dragging that through the airport. But that turns out not to be a bad thing. When you are standing at the baggage carousel after your not quite awful flight, hoping to spot your bag in the sea of black suitcases, BOOM! There it is, in all it's rusty orange glory. It's a usual suitcase inside, no surprises there, but what the photos don't show so well is that the top expands up a few inches for when you do that vacation shopping. It's got nice, wide, straps around it in two places that cinch it down nicely, so everything stays where you put it. There are a couple good outside pockets for things, too, for easy access to books or other little things. If you are travelling by plane, don't put anything in these pockets you would greatly miss, as there is no way to lock them – the zippers are very sturdy and have a flap that folds over them, though, perfect for q-tips and cotton balls and that last minute pair of shoes, and oh wow, I can't believe I didn't pack any SOCKS! There's also a flat zipper pocket for maps and tickets and things that remain flat. The whole grey side where the handle folds into is hardsided, and the corners are reinforced, so the skateboard wheels are protected, and so are your things on the inside. They aren't swivel wheels, but they hardly need to be, it's such a smooth roller. The two thick grey padded handles are designed for lifting this into a trunk or vehicle, and make it easy to lift when it's full; they are in just the right spot. I've travelled with a pair of these at maximum weight for a while now, and they have held up admirably. My only hesitation in writing the review is that I didn't want to encourage other people to have suitcases like mine! I kind of enjoy being able to easily pick it out of the baggage carousel!
this bag is very large. it is easy to handle. we never opened or used, it is being returned. it did not appear to stand up on the wheels.
