This product is great. I am very happy with it, and for the price, I got many of the same perks that the pricier ones come with (incline, walking programs, heart rate monitor belt you wear around your chest that is very comfortable, water bottle holder, stow away option.) This is great value. The capacity of 300 lb. weight limit is wonderful considering many do not accomodate that. I would recommend this.
Absolutely love this Treadmill!!! Directions for the 4 exercise plans could have been written more clearly, still having trouble figuring it out...
I was surprised with how easy it went together, no trouble. It works great. My wife and I use it every day and really enjoy it. It has all the settings from easy to hard for any kind of workout you like. Unless you are really running it is very quiet. A great value.
Assembled in less than an hour. Works as advertised. Price can't be beat.
This treadmill satisfied my expectations, and I feel like I got a good decent value for the money. It's a good decent treadmill for a "beginning exerciser" that wants to make the first step of getting in shape. I never use the automatic programs on treadmills at the gym or anything, but I really like these because you can increase them each time you do the program or not, & it easily will set at your own pace.
When I was shopping for a treadmill I had a certain budget in mind and certain specifications I required. I wanted it to fold for storage and have an incline option, to name a couple. So I decided on this one and had it shipped "site to store." It arrived sooner than I expected so that was a plus. The assembly was a nightmare. The very first step of the assembly took me and my sig. other an hour to complete. Several times I thought we would give up because we just couldn't get the screws to reach into one side after we secured the other. I ended up propping the treadmill up on several phone book s to leverage it and leaving the screws loose on one side before screwing them on the other. Once we finally completed the first step, everything else was pretty simple but I noticed that none of the screws screwed in smoothly, I had to use a lot of force for most of the screws and eventually pulled out my power drill even though I didn't want to use it on the plastic parts. Beware that once assembled, the treadmill looks "cheap." The dashboard is completely plastic and very basic but the treadmill itself serves it's purpose. I just focus on my incline and speed and am able to see how many calories I've burned or the distance I've gone. There is a little lip on the dashboard so you could sit a magazine up there and there is a cupholder as well. I do have a hard time reaching the middle bar for balance, it is an awkward reach so I focus on using the extended side bars for balance instead. I would say it is a good "starter" treadmill. As I get into shape and require more functionality, I may graduate to something more advanced but in the meantime I am content. Don't try to assemble this on your own, the bed of the treadmill is VERY heavy. Happy shopping.
Got the treadmill yesterday and my husband and I put it together last night. Upon getting on the treadmill last night, it stopped on me! Come to find out, I received an error code 3. After looking it up on the internet (because the manual does not elaborate!), it says it is the MOST DIFFICULT error to diagnose! I was just hoping to be able to get active on the treadmill and shed some pounds. Hopefully it will get better after fixing the problem.
This treadmill was shipped to me with holes in the carton. When I put it together I found a crack in the motor cover. The treadmill wouldn't run. I called Sportcraft, and they diagnosed the problems. One was that a screw in the speed control was missing and someone had glued it in place. It had broken loose and wasn't working. The main porblem was the control board would not connect to the cable that ran to the electronics. They told me to return it to Walmart. They couldn't replace it. It was no longer in production. I returned the treadmill and Walmart gave me credit for its return.
The Sportcraft Treadmill TX440 broke 3 days after we got it home. It was stuck in the incline position & still is. We contacted Sportcraft and said they will send a new incline motor out to us (which we have not received yet). Then, WE HAVE TO INSTALL IT OURSELVES! We are not happy at all with this product.
The treadmill itself seemed great--nice wide belt, runs quietly, etc. The first time I tried the incline adjustment, it ramped the incline up to the highest setting and will not lower it! This renders the treadmill almost useless unless you can walk up steep inclines for your whole work-out! I tried to call sportcraft for service/support. I called every day for a week--was put on hold for 10-15 minutes each time by the automated system...then would get switched over to an answering machine to leave a message (all the while being told I was a valued customer! ha!). I left messages--NO REUTRNED calls to date! I emailed sportcraft--no responses! I would advise serious hesitation in buying this treadmill. If I actually get some service, I will repost.
