Bought this bed for grandchildren. One was on the way. (SHE'S HERE!!!!) This bed is very sturdy. Love the look. Did not set up drawer. Nice feature but we do not need it yet. Like the up/down side rale. This bed has a more decreative feature at the bottom of the legs by the wheels. I liked that feature in this bed. If you like this bed GET IT! We are very pleased!!! :-)
Yes teh product is being recalled bc of falty brackets but they give you a 1-800- number and they arrive in a few days. the hardest part of putting it together was the drawer. MY self who is 6 months preg. and my 10 year old step son put the whole thing together in less than an hour. It is beautiful!!ONE TIP PUT IT TOGETHER IN THE ROOM IT IS GOING IN BC IT WOULDNT FIT THROUGH THE DOOR.....LOL So we had to take some pieces off and then with the recall we had to do it all over again. I still with all that think it is a great bed for the price. Remember if the item is damaged when it is shipped to you..SEND IT BACk...there should be NO charge for this.
Our baby isn't here yet, but we set up the crib and it is really beautiful. It definitely looks more expensive and the quality is great. My husband had no trouble putting it together in just a matter of minutes. I would definitely recommend this crib if you want something that is a bit more traditional with an added touch of elegance. Also, the Sealy baby posturpedic mattress fits perfectly!
Pretty easy to put together. I didn't realize until I was done that one of the sides was upside down so I think it should have been made more clear to look for the plastic guard on the side and make sure it is the top. Other than that, assembly was pretty quick.
This crib is alot prettier in person, the pictures do not do it justice. It looks alot more expensive than it is. It is very sturdy and has a solid piece under the mattress, rather than the metal slats or wires like alot of cribs (I have been told that the metal slat-type pose an entrapment hazard for babies). It does have teething rails, which I was concerned about because it wasn't mentioned in the description. Storkcraft also has excellent customer service.If any pieces arrive broken or damaged,or break within a year after purchase, they will fed ex you new parts free of charge. The side drops with one arm and knee pressure. The only downside is that the hardware for the drop side is exposed, but it is a small securely attached piece and shouldn't pose any hazards for the baby. I am very happy with it.
It was so easy to put together - except for the drawer which had some incorrect instructions, but we got it together eventually. It seems like a really sturdy well constructed piece of furniture. I'm glad we went with this instead of something that was twice the price. I'm just as pleased with this as I would have been a more expensive piece.
The crib is beautiful! I used the site to store option and it arrived in perfect condition. My husband put it together without any trouble. I assembled the drawer myself and I found that 3 or 4 of the holes didn't line up and that was a bit frusterating but I did manage to get it together. I love the way the rail is designed to go down. (You pull up with one hand and push it in at the bottom with your leg.)
+ Solid wood construction, very sturdy. + Easy assembly with instructions that are simple to follow, it took about an hour to put together. + Mattress height adjustable to 3 positions. + Versatile, converts to a toddler bed and a day bed + Very roomy, large usable space - It is sometimes a struggle to release drop down side rail but seems to work better as time goes on. - Upon close inspection, finish and tooling of wood is not consistant ( accent grooves, designs are different legnth and position) but not really noticable. Consideration should be made that this product is mass produced and not hand crafted so such attention to detail cannot be made for the price of the product. Overall it is a very good product for a good price.
This crib is much more sturdy than many of the cribs that we considered. It is a nice piece of furniture...very easy to assemble. It is functional and will be perfect for our new daughter. I would recommend this crib to others.
I was looking for a certain type of crib and found this one. I fell in love with the picture on the internet. We recently put it togerther and noticed a few things. The drawer for below is almost useless. It would be better without this at a better price. On the end headboard, it looked as if the wood split and they stuck glue down the crack to cover it up. I was so excited to get it, but was slightly disappointed when we assembled it. I expected a more elegant looking crib by the picture and for the cost.
