I absolutely love this crib! It is solid wood and extremely sturdy! It didn't take long to assemble, but be sure to follow the instructions carefully to avoid damaging or scratching the crib. The crib fit nicely with our naturepedic organic mattress, and the height of the crib is perfect (I'm only 4'11" and was hoping it wouldn't be too tall - and yet you don't have to bend down too far if you're 6' tall either). The crib was packed nicely for shipping to the store and packaging contained all the appropriate (and high quality) parts. I highly recommend this crib as it the most sturdy and visually appealing crib I have seen! See photos for a better view.
Good sturdy crib for the price. Husband and I were able to assemble it together in about 30 minutes. Front side go up and down easily without too much noise.
Purchased this for my future grandson. Beautiful crib and changing table and high quality. My son-in-law was able to put it together himself. My daughter loves the cherry color, it compliments their bedroom set. The crib had a minor crack, but manufacture will replace it.
This crib is very beautifully made. It came early and was very easy to put together. It took me and my husband maybe an hour to put it together. I was worried about it scratching because of the previous reviews but in the process of carrying it into the nursery one of the rails hit the corner of the wall and it didn't dent it at all, and if it did, I didn't find it...and I looked. The wood is soft, but it will withstand a couple dings into walls...you will not have to refinish this crib. I would recommend this crib to anyone and everyone. We are very happy with this purchase, now just to wait baby's arrival.. :)
This crib met my expectations and then some. I actually purchased a different crib from another company and when I received it, it was damaged. I ordered this crib on a Sunday and received it on the following Wednesday. The packaging was superb, the crib was not damaged, and it was very easy to set up. It is a beautiful crib and and looks wonderful in the new little one's nursery. Thank You WalMart!
I had done much research across the board looking for a crib for my new baby. This is the same crib that is offered on many other websites including Pottery Barn and Overstock. Walmart has the best price and it is exactly the same crib. The drawer underneath is not the highest quality, so we choose to not install it. I would agree with other comments to be careful when installing the drop gate as the wood is soft and it takes a nice tug to get the front railing installed and will rub against and dent the other front piece of your crib. Not a huge detail unless you this really is a concern to you. I would definately recommend this product to anyone who is looking for save money on the exact same crib at other store sites.
I really like this crib, it came pretty much already put together, just had to assemble the drawer underneath and connect the sides and and all. Sturdy, very nice looking. Not as cherry looking as I thought but its still over all a nice crib and I can't wait for my son to use it next month.
I was excited to find this crib on Wal-Mart's site as the same crib is at Babies R Us for $100 more and at Pottery Barn kids for about $800 more. It came in faster than we expected and is exactly what we wanted. Our baby isn't due until October, so I can't comment on using it, but it seems like it's going to be great. It looks like a very expensive piece of furniture for a great price. Only possible complaint is that it will take two hands and a knee push to get the side down, and I wonder how that will work when holding a baby... but I bet I also get better at it as time goes on.
Crib met all our expectations. It looks beautiful in the nursery with other cherry finish pieces we already had. I researched and looked at several cribs before purchasing this one. I was a little nervous since I never saw it in person, but was very very happy once we got it out of the box and put it together. It was easy for my husband to assemble by himself with minimal help from me in about an hour. The pieces WILL scratch easily, but I already knew to expect that so we were really careful and only had one little scratch from installing the drop side. The crib really has such a beautiful shape and for the price you pay, it looks a lot more expensive!
I was really looking forward to getting this crib and setting it up. We put it together yesterday, and like everyone has said before it is very easy to put together. Between my boyfriend and I it only took about 40 min or so. But here's what they don't advertise- the crib IS solid wood, solid PINE! If you have experience with true pine you'll know how incredibly soft it is. I put a dent in it accidentally with my fingernail as I was holding a side up for him. Now it does look beautiful when it's all said and done, but being that we have a child already, we know this soft wood isn't going to last very long. If it hadn't been stained Cherry then you wouldn't have even noticed it, but the dents and scratches are much more obvious with the dark stain. The drop side on our wasn't that quite, as compaired to the non-convertable cribs, but I had to have a drop side, so I'm not complaining about that since most of the convertable type cribs don't even have them at all. A good note is that the mattress really rises and lower to 4 different levels, and does so very easily. I'm 5'6" so bending over a non dropped side to fish out a 1 year old was just not a great idea for me. I certainly won't have that issue with this crib. Bottom line- if you don't plan on keeping this crib for long (more than 2 years or so), or if you are willing to restain/repaint it then this crib is just fine.
