This was my son's first who was endlessly trying to chew on tv remotes, cordless telephone, and cell phones. This remote control says numbers, plays music, and makes animal noises. Infants and toddlers playing with this remote are happy it makes entertaining noises and not looking to increase their vocabulary in french and spanish. Great toy, very durable, and there is a volume button. It has saved our electronics from baby drool!
I let my great-grandson open this early, it didn't work at first because it come with dead batteries in it when there shouldn't have been any batteries in it, according to the box. I replaced with good batteries but it isn't very loud and he wasn't very interested in playing with it.
Bought this online. I never would have purchased it off the shelf. Speaker sounded shot, making it hard to understand, especially when playing music. Three languages, which were supposed to be "your choice" didn't always stay "your choice", making it too confusing for a toddler to learn. Spinner was very hard to turn. I returned this to the store. There are plenty of learning toys that are worth the money, but this is not one of them. I suggest you pass this one up.
